Reason of establishment

Indeed there is no atoll in the North Region that does not have benefited from the liberality of the leading NGO (Zuvaanunge Aurooh) of north region in the past 23 years. It was c

ertainly told by many that the Naifaru and its people would not have been developed remarkably as seen by today, without the contribution and great effort made by the Zuvaanunge Aurooh which belongs to its own people. From the experience of the leading organization of Naifaru and North Region, the working team of Zuvaanunge Aurooh established a new NGO, named Eco Youth, in order to conserve environment and promote youth of Naifaru. The fundamental principle behind the formation of Eco Youth was to enhance the participation of the youth in community based work and we witness the participation of youth, even these very few days of the establishment of the organization. In fact several youth of both the gender is joining the NGO each week as this new NGO established in September 07, 2011, promises and comprises the desired determination of today’s youth.

# Initiate a movement which will work to conserve environment as a team, enhancing awareness of the community.
# Conserve environment through sustainable project which is carried out for long period of time.
# Support the government pursues carbon neutrality and work cooperatively.
# Introduce renewable energy, promote renewable energy and inculcate the habit of using renewable energy.
# Establish a proper waste management system and work to achieve the nationwide waste management goals. Promote Youth

# Provide opportunities for the youth to take part in competitive sport tournaments.
