We are thrilled to highlight Minister Zareer’s deep roots in ethical financial governance. An alumnus of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), he holds both a Bachelor of Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance, bridging modern economic strategy with values-backed principles.

Bringing vast experience as the former Commissioner General of MIRA, Chair of BML, and Co-Chair of the OECD Global Forum Asia Initiative, his leadership will be an invaluable asset to the nation.

The 2025 Mastercard - Crescentrating Global Muslim Travel Index reports 176 million Muslim international arrivals in 2024 (up 25% YoY), projected to reach 245 million by 2030, with travel spending expected at US$230 billion.
