Today, U-Inspire Maldives visited Center for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to facilitate a session on Tsunami hazard. The presentation covered details on the 2004 Tsunami event and the impact it had on the Maldives as well as importance of preparedness, early warning communication and awareness.
Mr. Ardito M. Kodijat, head of Indian Ocean Tsunami information Centre of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO based in Jakarta, Indonesia also participated in this session to provide information and share his expertise with the students.
We hope to continue our outreach and awareness work in the future to reach our goal of building resilient communities. Thank you CHSE for this opportunity.
