Our aim is to reform NDA, free the institution from corruption and negligence, and advocate to provide efficient services and evidence-based treatments to tackle the most pressing social issue of Maldives. Advocating for evidence-based treatment, proper after care and immediate access to treatment, to fight against the biggest social crisis in Maldives. National Drug Agency has been formed in 1995
(previously known as National Narcotics Control Bureau, NNCB) with the objective of tackling this issue. Currently treatment is given just to show statistics while tax payer's money is been wasted under the watch of negligent leaders. 57 citizens out of every 100 are being effected by the op**te pandemic in Maldives directly and indirectly, while Maldives holds 4th position from top in world op**te consumption. We cannot tolerate this negligence anymore and sit back while another generation is being lost to drug addiction. For these reasons, we want to reform the National Drug Agency to achieve the full benefits of Drug Act 17/2011 and ensure the tax payer's money is being spent effectively and efficiently.
