Society for Living Angels

Society for Living Angels Society for Living Angels is a non-profit association that supports children and adults having an intellectual disability and their families.

According to the World Health Organisation/Europe, intellectual disability means a significantly reduced ability to understand new or complex information and to learn and apply new skills. It has historically been defined as an Intelligence Quotient score under 70. Society for Living Angels has been set up in 2009 and registered with the Registrar of Associations in 2010. Among the members of the

association, there are qualified and experienced Special Education teachers, educators and social workers and we are all closely related to at least one person with an intellectual disability. Activities organised by Society for Living Angels include:

• Respite Week-Ends
• Day Out
• Drawing and Painting Workshop for beneficiaries
• Parent counselling
• Workshops with parents by professionals in the disability field

Our main long-term project is to set up a specialised residential facility for our living angels whose parents and guardians are incapable of taking care of them due to old age, illness, disability, death or any other severe and genuine problem.
