The Grand Port Regional Youth Council is proud to support THE RED TIGER & SHOBUKAN MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL, a club from our Grand Port District, during the KAGAMI BIRAKI 2026 (Japanese New Year).

This event celebrates discipline, respect, tradition, and continuous self-improvement — values that strongly align with youth development and positive leadership.

We commend the club, instructors, and young practitioners for their dedication and wish them a successful and meaningful Kagami Biraki 2026.

The Grand Port Regional Youth Council was proudly represented at the recent pre-budget consultative meeting with the Junior Minister of Finance. Our Secretary,Chandish Daiboo, and Mervyn Courtaud, Vice President of the Grand Port Youth Council and RYC Representative at the National Youth Council of Mauritius, actively participated in this important dialogue.

They voiced key proposals on behalf of the youth and youth-led organisations, advocating for strategic changes in the upcoming national budget.

One step for us, a thousand blessings for the Earth.
In honour of International Mother Earth Day, we didn’t just walk — we walked with purpose, we cleaned with love, and we stood for something bigger than ourselves.

Alongside the National Youth Council of Mauritius, Gutsy Dodos, Lions Club Mahebourg, It's Doodle and Grand Port Regional Youth Council -we joined hands to restore the beauty of Le Bouchon and La Cambuse Public Beaches.

The Earth has always been our greatest home.
Today, we gave back — and every day, we must continue to protect, to nurture, and to honour her.
Because when we take care of her, she takes care of us.
