The Story of FFC 2025
It began with a spark, a call for bold thinkers, innovators, and changemakers ready to challenge the future of finance. From diverse backgrounds but united by ambition, the Future FinTech Champions (FFC) 2025 Cohort came together with one goal: to turn ideas into impact.

From day one, the journey was anything but ordinary. What started as concepts on paper quickly evolved into real-world solutions addressing some of the most pressing challenges in the financial ecosystem. Through immersive masterclasses, hands-on workshops, and direct engagement with industry experts, participants were pushed beyond their comfort zones, encouraged not just to think differently, but to build differently.

Ideas were tested, refined, and reimagined.
Teams were formed, bonds were built, and a true spirit of collaboration emerged.
Skills were sharpened, from problem-solving and pitching to navigating the complexities of fintech innovation.
And through every challenge, resilience became the defining trait of this cohort.

Behind every milestone was a story, late nights perfecting solutions, intense brainstorming sessions, moments of doubt turned into breakthroughs, and the unwavering determination to succeed.

Guided by dedicated mentors and supported by a strong ecosystem of partners and stakeholders, this cohort experienced what it truly means to innovate within a fast-evolving industry. They didn’t just learn about fintech trends, they engaged with them, challenged them, and contributed to shaping them.

Today, we celebrate more than the completion of a programme. We celebrate a transformation.

Each graduate leaves not only with new knowledge and skills, but with a mindset, one that embraces innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth. They are now part of a growing community of fintech champions, ready to contribute to the industry, launch ventures, and drive meaningful change.

To the FFC 2025 graduates: your journey has just begun. The future of fintech needs your ideas, your energy, and your courage.

A special thank you to our Programme Lead Sponsor, MCB, for their unwavering support and commitment to nurturing fintech innovation. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Event Sponsors, Middlesex University Mauritius and IEEE Middlesex Student Branch, for their valuable contribution in making this journey and celebration possible.

To all our mentors, members, partners, and supporters: thank you for believing in this vision and for playing a vital role in shaping the next generation of fintech leaders.

As we close this chapter, we now turn our focus to the recruitment of the 2026 Future FinTech Champions cohort, which will be launching shortly and ready to go!

Closing 2025 Strong. Building 2026 Together!

The MAFH Board and team extend a heartfelt thank you to all our members, partners, and stakeholders for your continued engagement over this past year. Your presence and continued active engagement are what give strength and relevance to the Mauritius Africa FinTech Hub.

We also take this moment to celebrate the outstanding contribution of Benazeer SaΓ―doo, who will be transitioning out of her role as CEO at the end of February 2026 after six years of service to the association. During her tenure as CEO, MAFH has strengthened its position as a trusted ecosystem platform, expanded skills and capacity-building initiatives, deepened public-private dialogue, and reinforced Mauritius’ engagement within regional and international fintech networks.

As we look ahead with excitement, interim arrangements are in place and the Board has launched the process to appoint a new CEO. Our focus remains on supporting our members, deepening collaboration, and advancing fintech as a powerful driver of innovation, inclusion, and growth.

Our 2026 programme is already underway, with the Future FinTech Champions flagship competition coming up next.
