ADHD Awareness Month 💜
1st October marks the beginning of ADHD Awareness Month, and as a mum of two beautiful children with ADHD, I feel there is still so much awareness and understanding that we need to build. 💜

Ella and Kylor both live with ADHD, and their journey includes medication, therapies, support, and, most importantly, people who understand them and believe in them.

ADHD is so much more than hyperactivity. It can affect emotions, impulsivity, concentration, sleep, behaviour and the ability to manage what is happening inside your mind. Sometimes their brain can jump from one subject to another, thoughts can feel overwhelming, and calming down or focusing can be incredibly difficult.

Sometimes what looks like “bad behaviour” or rudeness isn't a child choosing to behave that way. Sometimes they simply cannot control what is happening in that moment. That doesn't mean they don't care, don't understand, or aren't trying. ❤️

So this ADHD Awareness Month, I ask one thing: please be patient, please be understanding, and please look beyond the behaviour. See the child, listen to them, and remember that every neurodivergent person experiences the world differently.

To everyone who supports my children, understands them, encourages them and helps them grow thank you. You are part of their journey. 💜✨

as your mother, I love you more deeply than words could ever explain, and you have always known how much I believe in you.
I believed in you from the moment you were growing inside my tummy, and I will continue believing in you until I close my eyes.
No matter what anyone else says,
I know my daughter and I know how much she is capable of.
I will keep climbing every mountain with you, searching for new opportunities, new places, new experiences and new ways for you to learn, grow and become more independent.
I will never stop looking for the right opportunities for you. When I find something that can help you with your challenges, we will try it no matter who says what, where it is, or how difficult the journey may be.
Every word I say and every decision I make is with one priority you and your future.
I don't make these choices because I think I know everything. I listen, I ask questions, I seek professional opinions, and I look carefully at what is best for you.
Then, as your mother, I guide you and support you in the direction where I believe you can learn and thrive.
That's what a mother does when she sees her child improving. She keeps believing, keeps searching, keeps learning and keeps fighting for opportunities. And I will continue doing exactly that for you, no matter what others say.
You have your own voice. You have your own opinions. You have the right to be heard.
And I will always be beside you, believing in you, guiding you and reminding you that your possibilities are bigger than anyone else's doubts. ❤️
