Emergency Response Rescue Corps The E.R.R.C. is a voluntary, charitable and non-profit organization based in Gozo, Malta.

We provide various services and training courses with regards to Safety and First Aid, including:

Relief, Lifeguarding, Social Work, First Aid Posts/Stands, Psychological First Aid, Working with the Elderly, Refugees/Immigrants, Ambulance services, Open Waters Rescue with Hydro-ambulance, Scuba Unit, Disaster Response Unit, Search and Rescue Unit, Education Campaigns and much more!

Schedule: Saturdays, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Requirement: Must be over 21 and hold a valid driving licence.

Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Deputy Service Coordinator to support the smooth running of operational activities. This role involves assisting with equipment management, logistics coordination, and ensuring resources are prepared and available when needed. The successful candidate will work closely with the service coordinator and team members to maintain operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the management, preparation, and organisation of operational equipment.
• Support logistics planning, including transport and deployment of equipment and resources.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and stored correctly.
• Assist with coordinating team activities and operational readiness.
• Drive when required to transport equipment or personnel.
• Maintain clear records relating to equipment and logistics.

Requirements
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driving licence and confident driving locally.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Interest or experience in operational, emergency, or service environments is an advantage.

A practical, dependable person who enjoys organising resources, supporting team operations, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

A Yellow Weather Warning is in effect across the Maltese Islands from this evening. Conditions are expected to deteriorate during the early hours of Thursday, with strong winds at times reaching Force 7–8 (near gale), accompanied by strong gusts and rough seas.

Please take extra precautions:
• Be especially cautious during the morning and daytime hours
• Secure loose or outdoor items
• Avoid working at heights (rooftops, balconies, scaffolding, exposed areas)
• Stay alert as conditions may change rapidly

⚠️ PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT – DANGEROUS SEA CONDITIONS ⚠️

The Emergency Rescue Response Corps (ERRC) is urging the public to keep well away from all shorelines and coastal areas due to ongoing dangerous sea conditions.

We are working very closely with the CPD, with multiple ERRC crews remaining on standby should assistance be required. In addition, lifeguards are actively patrolling coastal areas in Gozo to help monitor the situation and ensure public safety.

While winds are expected to subside later today, sea conditions may remain hazardous. The public is strongly advised not to take unnecessary risks and to follow all safety guidance issued by the authorities.

The Emergency Rescue Response Corps (ERRC) advises the public to exercise extreme caution due to forecasted strong winds from late this evening until late Tuesday morning, with winds possibly reaching Force 8 and gusts up to Force 10. 🌬️🌊

⚠️ The public is strongly advised to stay away from beaches, coastal areas, and the sea during this period.
Sea conditions are expected to be dangerous, with a high risk to life.
