Founding of the Movement:

The Missionary Movement "Jesus in thy neighbour" is a (NGO VO/0140) that was founded in Gozo, Malta on the 3rd December 1987, by Monsignor George Grima. It was approved by the Bishop of Gozo, Monsignor Nikol Cauchi, on 30th October 1992. The aim of the movement is to give a better life to so many children living on the streets of Brazil, Ethiopia and Kenya. Ongoing proje

Last year, the Missionary Movement “Jesus in thy Neighbour” celebrated the Silver Jubilee. During these last 25 years, since its inception the Movement took the responsibility to care for orphans suffering with AIDS or having any form of physical or mental disability. All children supported by the Missionary Movement are under the age of 12 years. Currently, the Missionary Movement has: 33 homes in Brazil, 133 homes in Ethiopia and 34 homes in Kenya. Our goals:

The Missionary Movement looks after the lives of poor children by:
• providing daily food, education and
• providing medicine and healthcare;
• caring for disabled children;
• believing that disability is not inability;
• building homes for l***r families;
• digging boreholes;
• developing spring water
