Regardless of religion, race or gender, Foodbank Lifeline Foundation, founded in 2015, helps any individual, couple or family that find themselves in a crisis situation and provide them with non-perishable food items that will get them through the week. Food is given out to people who are experiencing a crisis identified by care professionals and referred to us. They are given non-perishable food
items which are nutritionally balanced to last the individual, couple or family up to 7 days. We cater for special dietary requirements and are committed to helping all who are in need regardless of religion, colour, race or gender. Founded by Chairman Rev. Kim Hurst in the summer of 2015, she decided to launch Foodbank Lifeline Foundation after being approached by a man asking for food after previously being seen rummaging through the trash in search for partially discarded take-aways to eat. Starting as a small venture, the foundation is now feeding thousands of people annuallly. To make sure we help those who are really in desperate need, we can only offer support to people who have been referred to us by agencies such as Apogg, Child Protection, Mental Health and Oncology teams, Caritas, Sedqa, Jesuit Refugee Service or Parish Priests and Imams. We believe no child or adult should ever experience hunger, so we do our uttermost to ensure that these people have enough food to cover them in the short-term, until a more long-term solution is found. Seeing that we are not funded by any government entity - we rely solely on the donations from the public. Hence, we wish to thank everyone who has involved themselves with Foodbank Lifeline through one way or another – we would not be here without your support! FOOD DONATION DROP OFF POINTS
