Rethinking collaboration in African diaspora communities. 🤝

We have the skills, creativity and cultural capital to thrive. But when knowledge is guarded, visibility is pursued alone and leadership is seen as a zero-sum space, progress becomes slow and vulnerable. These patterns come from lived experiences of scarcity, exclusion and migration trauma, not from ill intent.

Other migrant communities have shown how pooled resources, mentorship and trust-based networks can create systems that outlive individuals. Unity is a tool of empowerment, and it doesn't ignore the real structural barriers we face.

Samira who is a Social Welfare Professional at the Human Trafficking Service of Agenzija Appogg gave an insight of what is human trafficking, exploitation, and the importance of understanding these serious issues.

During an interview with Agenzija Appogg professionals we discussed this important question to help shed light on what human trafficking really means and why raising awareness is essential.

Awareness is the first step towards understanding and preventing exploitation.
