(1)

John Ambulance and Rescue Malta, is a registered non-profit organization that provides First Aid and Rescue Services as well as provides an opportunity for youths to learn first aid, and various life skills, guided by experienced youth leaders. Established on June 6th, 1948, the Youth Section initially began with boys, with the girls joining just a month later. Since then, we have grown into a vi

brant and inclusive organisation dedicated to training young people in first aid, rescue, and life-saving skills. This year (2024), we launched our new Rescue program for youth, expanding our training to include comprehensive rescue operations. This addition provides our young members with comprehensive training in rescue operations, enhancing their ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Our mission is to empower youth through education and practical experience, preparing them to become capable and compassionate members of society. We offer a wide range of activities, from first aid training and community service projects to leadership development and team-building exercises. Our programs are designed to be engaging, educational, and fun, ensuring that our members are not only learning valuable skills but also forming lifelong friendships and making a positive impact in their communities. All our programs and activities are volunteer-based, nurturing a spirit of service and commitment in our young members. A tradition of excellence and service that has been nurturing young minds and hearts for over seven decades. Together, we can make a difference! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’š

Today, we celebrate the mums, grandmothers, and mother figures who support, encourage, and inspire our young volunteers every step of the way. ๐Ÿ’™

From driving them to activities and training sessions, to supporting them behind the scenes and helping them grow into caring and confident individuals. Your dedication never goes unnoticed.

Happy Motherโ€™s Day to all the amazing mums in our Youth Division family. Thank you for everything you do, every single day. ๐ŸŒธ

Lifeline Fest was something special ๐ŸŒฟ

In the middle of busy days, itโ€™s rare to pause and feel part of something bigger, but yesterday's event did exactly that.

Our volunteers showed up with dedication, care, and professionalism throughout, ensuring everyone could enjoy the event safely.

We woke up with grateful hearts today. Mostly, for the opportunity to serve, for the teamwork on the ground, and for being part of such a positive community moment.

We are especially grateful and thankful to everyone who attended, for the generosity shown through donations, and for the joy of seeing so many families coming together and having fun.

Thank you for being part of the very first edition of Lifeline fest ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒŸ A particularly proud moment during the Annual General meeting was the promotion ceremony:

๐Ÿ‘ Two Cadets were promoted to Cadet Sergeants.
๐Ÿ‘ Two Cadets were promoted to Corporal.

These promotions are a testament to their commitment, leadership, and consistent effort within the division. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the example they set for others.

We were also delighted to officially enrol four Senior Cadets into the Adults Section as Junior Members, marking an important milestone in their journey within the organisation. Seeing our young members continue their commitment into adulthood is truly inspiring.

From Badger to Cadet to Adult Member.... the St John journey continues. ๐Ÿ’ซ

Last week, the Paolaโ€“Tarxien Youth group held its Annual General Meeting, bringing together families, volunteers, and members to reflect on a year of activity and growth.

Throughout 2025, our youth members took part in training, community service, and team-building activities designed to build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The evening was also an opportunity to share our plans for 2026 as we continue investing in young people and strengthening our community presence.

Weโ€™re proud of the progress made and grateful for the continued support from parents and volunteers who make this possible.

During the Annual Review last month, our cadets were proudly presented with their certifications following the successful completion of first aid and high-angle training.

High-angle rescue demands focus, courage, discipline, and trust in one another. By meeting this challenge, our cadets have demonstrated not only technical skill, but the character required to serve when it matters most.

These moments are more than ceremonies marking growth, responsibility, and the steady shaping of the next generation of responders.

We are proud of their commitment and look forward to seeing them continue to rise.
