EVERY successful leader needs their own discipler — and that’s one of the main things that can keep you from falling into darkness.

Drop a 🔥 if you’re tired of feeling like you’re in this alone!

Here’s the truth: sin loses its hold when we’re willing to lose our pride, be vulnerable and get to the place we are fully seen and heard.

Leaders, you don’t have to carry everything by yourself. Having someone you trust completely — to share your embarrassing, messy, real moments — will take you to the place of your greatest strength.

When you’re vulnerable with that right person, darkness loses power because it’s brought into the light.

It’s not just about sharing — it’s about having someone who listens with compassion & equips you to grow beyond your struggles and your current self. That kind of relationship is what sets us up for success, personally and ministerially.

Do you have a go-to person to keep yourself in honesty and growth? Maybe it’s time to pray for those safe spaces to open up and get yourself into a church community which values character, discipleship and courage over numbers.

Worth thinking about 🤔

Are you a lonely leader?

In today’s church, loneliness is something that shouldn’t be common… but is. And more than you think!

How did we let a culture of care get eroded to such a point?

A culture of business (busy-ness) has created a toxic atmosphere for leaders and congregants alike. Leaders receive a cold shoulder from their busy leader, and transfer that attitude to their sheep. No wonder there’s so much slipping and falling - connection, vulnerability and love is the antidote to addictions and trauma cycles!

When was the last time you truly sat with someone and heard them out? When was the last time you were sat down and heard out yourself?

Get your struggles and shames into the light, get heard, get supported and you’ll get healed.

Drop a ❤️ if you agree that listening is a game-changer, or tag someone who needs this reminder today.

We would love to hear your thoughts — how do you foster real connection in your community?

Why do leaders fail?

Drop a ❤️ if you’ve ever felt pressure in leadership.

Leaders often feel they need to appear infallible, enabling the oppression of a silent whisper, “Don’t show weakness!”

When failure is met with shame and vulnerability is seen as a risk, people stop functioning and start performing. When leadership becomes an act… it’s no longer leadership.

This kind of mindset silences honest conversations and builds barriers to freedom, healing, and power instead of trust.

Are we unintentionally encouraging openness or silence?

It’s worth a ponder.

This episode looks at how we should respond to moral failures (and the accusations of moral failures) to come to a place of understanding how and why these take place. We discuss what it means to live faithfully with unresolved desires, how secrecy can develop in Christian leadership, and what healthier, more honest discipleship could look like for the church today.
