🌊This amazing little seahorse is a master of disguise—so well camouflaged that most would swim right past it! 👀 Thankfully, one of our sharp-eyed citizen scientists spotted it and captured this incredible moment on video. 🙌We’ve trimmed the clip for easier viewing, but the diver also recorded the depth, temperature, and camera settings, giving us the most accurate environmental context possible. 📏🌡️These kinds of contributions are invaluable to marine research and conservation—big thanks to our dedicated community for keeping their eyes peeled and their cameras ready! 💙🐠 thank you

🌊 Did you know seahorses live in Malta’s waters? 🌊

Seahorses aren’t just a popular logo for Maltese businesses like dive centers, cafes, and shops—they’re real creatures that call our seas home! 🐚 Malta is one of the few places in the Mediterranean where seahorses still exist, but their numbers are dropping due to habitat loss and pollution.

💡 How many businesses in Malta do you know that use seahorses in their branding? Comment below and tag them—we’d love to see how many we can find!

By protecting Malta’s marine habitats, we can help save these iconic creatures from disappearing completely. Let’s celebrate the real-life seahorses of Malta and give a shoutout to the businesses that use them as symbols of our beautiful seas. 🌊

🌊 Did You Know? 🌊

The spiny seahorse (Hippocampus Guttulatus) is one of the most unique seahorse species, named for its spiky appearance! These fascinating creatures can grow up to 15 cm long and are often found in seagrass meadows.

🔹 Fun Fact: Spiny seahorses are masters of camouflage! Their spines and coloration help them blend perfectly into their surroundings to avoid predators.

🐚 Why They Need Our Help: Seagrass habitats, where spiny seahorses thrive, are under threat from pollution and habitat destruction. By protecting these areas, we can help ensure these amazing creatures continue to flourish.

💙 Want to make a difference? Join our mission and help protect their habitats today!
