The Foundation is the development arm which will implement a new performance strategy for youth development. The Foundation is focusing on three different aspects which should lead to greater participation, the pathway from grassroots to elite level, and player welfare. ⚽ Football for All: A Special Day with Inspire! 🌟

The Inħobb il-Futbol Foundation was proud to team up with Inspire Malta for their recent Sports Day.

This year was a milestone as football ⚽️ was introduced for the first time.

Our IFF coaches loved working with these incredible children, using adapted drills to ensure everyone had a blast on the pitch.

⚽💜 𝐆𝐨𝐳𝐨 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 – 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 💜

Another fantastic season of the Gozo Girls – Live it with Love project has officially come to an end! 🎉👏

Following another successful year of weekly football sessions, this season also marked an exciting new development for the project with the introduction of monthly festivals. 🏟️✨

Participating nurseries included:
🔹 Għajnsielem
🔹 Kerċem Ajax
🔹 Nadur Youngsters
🔹 Qala Saints
🔹 SK Victoria Wanderers

The final event, held last Saturday, brought together all the participants for a special celebration of the season, during which all the girls were presented with participation certificates in recognition of their commitment, enthusiasm, and love for the game. 🏅👏

The event was attended by Malta FA Women’s Football Department Manager Dorita Agius together with Malta Women’s National Team Gozitan player Maria Farrugia, who shared this memorable occasion with the girls and their families. 🇲🇹⚽

We would like to thank all the players, parents, coaches, nurseries, and partners involved for making this season another great success. ❤️

Big smiles and even bigger goals at the Gozo Stadium! ⚽️🌟

On 29 April, the pitch was buzzing as 6️⃣0️⃣ Year 5 students from Nadur and Zebbug took over the stadium 🏟️

It was all about the experience of playing on grass in a joyful atmosphere.

From experienced players to those kicking a ball for the first time, everyone joined in the fun games led by our IFF coaches.

Seeing boys and girls playing together made the day truly special. A few balls were awarded to some children who took part in an easy contest and also balls ⚽️ were also given to the schools.

A huge thank you 🙏 to the GFA for hosting us in such a fantastic venue. We can't wait to head back to our sister island for more! 🏝️⚽️

Football in Schools: Empowering the Next Generation ⚽️

"Football in Schools" recently hosted 3️⃣ successful educational seminars followed by a vibrant football festival at the Centenary Stadium 🏟️

Our SCDP students had the unique opportunity to learn from experts about the diverse career paths available within the modern game:

✅ The Professional Pathway: Experienced coach John Buttigieg shared his insights into the realities, challenges, and opportunities of a professional player’s journey.

✅ Match Analysis: Adrian Buttigieg provided an in-depth look at the evolving role of match analysts and how data is shaping modern football.

✅ The Art of Scouting: Stefano Grima guided students through the scouting process, highlighting the specific traits scouts look for and the vital role that professional behaviour plays in a player's success.

At the IFF, we are committed to showing our students that the world of football offers incredible professional opportunities both on and off the pitch.

We look forward to building on this momentum with more educational sessions soon!

The Inhobb Il-Futbol Foundation welcomes the official launch of the integrated plan to develop the Malta Football Association’s facilities in Ta’ Qali which was approved by the General Assembly on Wednesday.

We are particularly excited about the proposed construction of a compact stadium 🏟️ for youth football along with the extensive modernisation plans for the National Stadium and upgrades to the Centenary Stadium 🏟️

Modern facilities are essential not only to enhance the fan experience and to maximise the year-round use of the footballing infrastructure but also to raise the profile of football ⚽️, encourage more children to play the game and ultimately support youth development at all levels.
