Mamma Margherita Home A New Beginning for Homeless Youth The Home continues to evolve and since 1988 it has helped around 120 young men.

The Salesians of Don Bosco in Malta are commemorating the 25th anniversary since the demise of Osanna Pia, the benefactor who had donated her house in Rudolphe Str., Sliema, for this organisation to use as a semi-independent set-up for young homeless men, between the ages of 18 and 25, who require refuge as a result of unfortunate personal and social difficulties. s at nurturing a much needed sense of independence in the young adults it hosts, instilling in them the necessary skills and values needed for independent living. The present proposal is to refurbish a property at Mrabat Str., with the Salesians retaining the front part while building a block of six studio flats that the young men can be offered to rent at a reasonable price. Mamma Margherita Home would be an extension of Osanna Pia Home, with the Director having the responsibility to coordinate both projects.
