❗️Our team has successfully completed the second and final part of the training on Responding to Mental Health Distress in Training and Learning Environments by Prisms Malta, bringing this valuable learning experience to a successful conclusion.

✨️Throughout the training, we strengthened our understanding of conflict management, de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches, exploring how to respond to challenging situations in both workplace and learning environments. We also gained a deeper understanding of trauma responses and how we can support individuals affected by trauma without allowing these experiences to become barriers to learning, participation and personal development.

💪🏻We are proud to have completed this training successfully and to take forward the knowledge and practical tools gained to help create safer, more inclusive and supportive environments for everyone.

🙏🏻This project has been funded by the Training Initiatives Scheme (TIS) managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV).

✨ Our team recently took part in a training session on Responding to Mental Health Distress in Training and Learning Environments, delivered by Prisms Malta

💪🏼 This training session helps us strengthen our knowledge and practical skills to foster safer, more inclusive and trauma-informed environments.

💡Throughout the session, we explored how understanding trauma, recognising signs of distress, and applying trauma-informed principles can help facilitators and youth workers respond to challenging situations with empathy, confidence and respect. This learning will support us in creating spaces where everyone feels safe, heard and empowered to participate.

We are delighted to share the progress being made on the Giuseppe Fenech Photography Collection.
The original studio signboards from Giuseppe Fenech's photography studio in Cospicua, dating back to the 1920s, have now been carefully installed. A dedicated exhibition room is being prepared within the very house that the Fenech family generously bequeathed to the Salesians of Don Bosco, ensuring that this remarkable photographic legacy will be preserved and shared with future generations.
The display cabinets are also in place, ready to showcase Giuseppe Fenech's original cameras, beautifully restored by Paul Vella.

This initiative is being carried out by the Don Bosco Foundation with the support of the Small Initiatives Support Scheme under MCVS and the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector. We look forward to sharing more updates as the project continues to take shape.

Don Bosco Foundation is proud that our project "Forgotten Frames: The Giuseppe Fenech Collection" has been selected for funding and we have attended the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector Grant Award Presentation.

We are grateful for the continuous support towards voluntary organisations and community initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives. Together, we continue working towards empowering individuals, supporting families, and strengthening our community.

Last Saturday, something truly special happened at our European Youth Week event — "Where Passion Meets Purpose" and our hearts are still full! 💛

To every young person who walked through the door, shared their voice, and showed up with courage and curiosity — YOU were the heart of this event. Watching you connect, reflect, and inspire was everything.

To our incredible speakers, thank you for bringing your wisdom, your energy, and your genuine care. You didn't just present; you inspired.

European Youth Week reminded us that when young people are given space to explore who they are and what they stand for, incredible things happen. Passion really does meet purpose. 🌍

✨ BOOST Scheme 2026 ✨

We are pleased to share that Don Bosco Foundation has been awarded funding through the BOOST Scheme 2026, organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ

Through our project, Modern Tools for Meaningful Dialogue, we will be upgrading our boardroom with modern collaborative technology that will support meetings, training sessions, Erasmus+ initiatives, and youth-focused activities.

The new equipment will help us create a more interactive and inclusive environment, allowing for hybrid participation, improved collaboration, and stronger engagement with young people and partners both locally and internationally.

We would like to thank Aġenzija Żgħażagħ for their continued support towards organisations working with and for young people. We look forward to implementing this project and sharing its impact with our community.
