Mario Avallone joined forces and in the year 93/94, they opened the first Sliema supporters association club, which was situated in Manuel Dimech Street, corner with St Helen Street, known to many as the lazy corner. The first activities were to encourage supporters to give their full support to our club, raffle, and fundraising were organized frequently to generate sufficient funds, which were ha
nded over to Sliema.W. In the year 1995, the Sliema supporters club committee was recognized by the central committee of Sliema.W. In the early years of the new millennium, new members joined the supporter's committee to give a fresh boost of new ideas, by the time the existing members with the help of the recruits took over, specifically to improve and build where others left. The new committee embarked on new projects, consisting of new banners and flags for the stadium and followed by the introduction of merchandise; like scarves, t-shirts, caps, etc. Fundraising continued together sufficient funds, so at the end of every month, proudly the supporters club would pass these funds to the central committee of Sliema.W. FC, also after each match, supporters were given the chance to vote through past existing forums the man of the match of every match, and at the end of the season, the winner would be presented, with the winner's trophy. Whilst thanking all the past and present committee members of the Sliema supporters club, and also all the supporters that trough out the years helped and supported the supporters club till today, proudly we can say that the Sliema supporters club is still an asset to our beloved football club.
