Research on Supported Employment for Persons with Disabilities in Malta and Gozo Presented to Government Officials

The long-awaited research study “Supported Employment for Persons with Disabilities in Malta & Gozo” has now been published and is available online at https://docs.mfopd.mt/mase-2025

Hard copies of the research were officially presented to Hon. Julia Farrugia Portelli, Minister for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector, and to Hon. Dr Byron Camilleri, Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment.

At the presentation meetings, Marthese Mugliette (President) and Venera Micallef (Secretary) of MASE were joined by the researcher, Dr Lara Bezzina, PhD.
During the meetings, Dr Bezzina explained in detail the key recommendations outlined in the study and the extensive process undertaken to carry out the research.

This study marks an important milestone in understanding and advancing supported employment opportunities for persons with disabilities across Malta and Gozo.
