94 YEARS OF ST. JULIAN’S SCOUT GROUP
8 September 1932 – 8 September 2026
Today we celebrate 94 years of St. Julian’s Scout Group!
Our story began right here in St. Julian’s on 8 September 1932, when the St. Julian’s Boy Scout Group made its first public appearance. The Group originated at No. 3, Carmel Street (Triq il-Karmnu), at what is now known as Careel House. In those early days, the tennis courts of the residence were used by the Scouts for their parades and training.
70 years later, in 2002, a commemorative plaque was placed on the building to mark the Group’s 70th anniversary — a lasting reminder of the place where our story began.
And today, 94 years on, that story continues.
Through the decades, generations of young people have worn the St. Julian’s Scout uniform, learned new skills, faced challenges, made lifelong friendships and created memories that have stayed with them long after their Scouting days.
The Group has changed, St. Julian’s has changed, and Scouting itself has evolved — but the spirit of adventure, friendship, learning and service remains at the heart of what we do.
Today we remember and thank all those who came before us — the Scouts and leaders, the parents and families, the helpers and supporters — everyone who has played a part in our story.
94 years of history.
Countless memories.
Generations of Scouts.
One St. Julian’s Scout Group.
Next year, we will celebrate 95 years of St. Julian’s Scouts — and we’re already looking forward to reaching that very special milestone together.
And beyond that… the big 100 is waiting for us!
Here’s to our past, our present and all the adventures still to come!
