We welcome startups incorporated from 2019 onwards, TRL 4-8, from EMFAF-2025-PIA-FLAGSHIP eligible countries. Specifically, EU member states, non-EU countries part of the EU sea basin strategies, and Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT), developing solutions in:

🔹Sustainable fisheries
🔹Aquaculture & fish farming
🔹Marine renewable energy
🔹Sustainable and green maritime transport
🔹Smart ports and marinas

🗓 Duration: April 2026 to Sept 2027 (3 months 1-to-1 tailored support, followed by 12 months post-program and MVP pilot support)

FILFLA Chilli Co. produces home-made and artisanal, mildly spicy chilli products, including jams, chutneys, tapenades and relishes. Each product is influenced by Malta’s culinary cuisine, traditions, history and culture, with ingredients ranging from sun-dried tomatoes, olives, oranges, olive oil and honey. Thank you to all the , , and who joined us for "The Next Move – Collaborative Insights for Sustainable City Logistics" on 17th October 2025, at MCAST MRC Auditorium!

Your insights, discussions, and enthusiasm made this session a truly meaningful step toward advancing sustainable and integrated urban mobility solutions in Malta.

Organised under the UrbanLogix initiative and powered by EIT Urban Mobility, Acceler8 Venture Builder(A8), and MCAST, in collaboration with Corporate Affairs Partnering Solutions (CAPS), the event brought together key actors from academia, industry, local councils, and policy to explore how Malta can reimagine its urban logistics ecosystem.

A heartfelt thank you to all our experts who made the event such an engaging and insightful session:

🚦 Gonca Kara – for setting the scene and introducing us to the importance of sustainable urban logistics, sparking curiosity and critical reflection through thoughtful questions.

🌍 Dimos T. Touloumidis (Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), Greece) – for sharing valuable lessons from the DISCO Project and providing practical guidance on developing and implementing Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans (SULPs).

✈️ Roberto Tiscio and Longino Dingli – for bringing in perspectives from both air and land transport, highlighting emerging technologies such as drones, and showcasing the work MCAST is doing in the field of urban logistics and mobility.

⚓ Fersun Akyuz – for her insightful contribution outlining the challenges faced within Malta’s maritime sector and its role in the wider logistics ecosystem.
