TDM 2000 Malta An NGO whose aim is to promote youth participation on both a local and international level.

TERRA DI MEZZO (TDM) 2000 Malta is a non-profit, non-governmental voluntary organization. One of its main aims is to create opportunities and to help its youth members develop their skills in order to be active in society on a local and international level. We strive to achieve this aim by organizing and hosting a number of various activities of a voluntary nature regularly. These activities include;
1) Hosting and/or sending youths on several youth exchanges, initiatives, training courses and networking projects addressing topics such as:
- active participation in society; on a local and European Level - interest in all EU affairs and the relationship the EU has with its neighbouring countries
- the environment
- health and healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle
- volunteering and inclusion in society - project management, time management
- culture, respect for culture differences and climate
- active participation in society and citizenship
- democracy and human rights

2) Doing charity work for local charitable institutions in Malta through organising
- fund raising activities
- project management of the local charitable projects

3) Regularly creating team and group building activities on a monthly basis to give the TDM members the opportunity to meet in a leisurely atmosphere.

4) Creating Work and Career-related placements in industries such as construction, catering, tourism, surveying and learning a foreign language. Through these events, youths are able to learn the real meaning of active European citizenship as well as the benefits that come with being active in society in a fun and enjoyable environment.

Inspired by the Blue Zones, this project is all about building healthier habits, discovering local traditions, making meaningful connections and bringing positive change back to your community.

🌍🧩 European Youth Week 2026 | Malta Mosaic: Building Unity in Diversity 🧩🌍
On 9 May 2026, young people from diverse cultural backgrounds came together in Malta to participate in Malta Mosaic: Building Unity in Diversity, an interactive workshop organised as part of European Youth Week 2026.

Through non-formal learning activities, group discussions, and creative collaboration, participants explored topics such as cultural identity, stereotypes, intercultural communication, and inclusion. The workshop provided a safe and engaging space for young people to share their experiences, learn from one another, and reflect on the value of diversity in today’s society.
A highlight of the event was the creation of a collective mosaic artwork, symbolising how different cultures, perspectives, and experiences can come together to build stronger, more inclusive communities. 🎨✨
The activity fostered mutual understanding, empathy, teamwork, and meaningful intercultural dialogue, while encouraging participants to see diversity as a strength and a source of community resilience.
A big thank you to all participants, facilitators, supporters, European Union, EUPA, the Government of Malta, and all project partners who contributed to making this event a success.

Together, we continue building bridges between cultures and empowering young people to shape a more inclusive future. 💙

🌱 European Youth Week 2026 | TDM Workshop: Think - Design - Make Change to a Sustainable Malta 🌍

On 9 May 2026, TDM 2000 Malta successfully organised the workshop "Think - Design - Make Change to a Sustainable Malta" as part of European Youth Week 2026.
The activity brought together young people aged 16-30 to explore Malta’s environmental challenges and discuss how sustainability, fairness, and solidarity can contribute to a better future for our communities. Through interactive discussions, teamwork, and non-formal learning activities, participants reflected on local environmental issues, developed practical solutions, and strengthened important skills such as communication, critical thinking, and collaboration.

Participants also learned about European opportunities for youth engagement, including Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, and explored ways to become active citizens both locally and across Europe.

💡 Key outcomes:
✅ Increased awareness of environmental challenges in Malta
✅ Stronger understanding of sustainability and active citizenship
✅ Development of teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
✅ Greater interest in participating in European youth programmes
✅ New ideas for sustainable actions within local communities
