Dear Members, the second lecture of the ASM 2026-27 series is scheduled for Wednesday the 21st of October. Nathaniel Cutajar will give a talk entitled: "Chinese Porcelain in the Maltese Islands during the Late Ming and Qing Dynasties."

Note that we are being cordially hosted at the Inquisitor's Palace in Birgu, with the lecture starting at 18.00.

From pottery analysis to bioarchaeology to dendochronology, each field offers crucial and fascinating information to the field.

On this day, join CASA in exploring the Bingemma Necropolis and Victoria lines, usually closed off to the public. Dr Keith Buhagiar will be presenting a fascinating lecture on the site and it’s paleochristian archaeology. 🏛️🥾👣

🥾Binġemma Site Visit !!!👣

Come with CASA for a breath of fresh air, a breathtaking view, and a chance to learn about one of the most interesting multi-period public sites in the North of Malta, the Palaeochristian hypogea ruins aside the Victoria Lines!🍂🥾👣

Led by Dr. Keith Buhagiar, this site visit will focus on the cultural history of the previous troglodytic community, the site’s cultural heritage (burials), land development, and water management systems relevant to the site and its archaeological presence.
