"Money seized from self-proclaimed 'misogynist' Andrew Tate is being used to help pioneer a new initiative in Cornwall to engage men and boys in preventing violence against women and girls.

£2.9m of assets belonging to Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were seized by Devon and Cornwall Police after it was determined by a court that the pair had "engaged in long-standing conduct to evade their tax".

🗣️We are interviewing people who had a parent incarcerated or have had a difficult childhood related to domestic violence.

📝The project, Bejn Dell u Dawl – Narrattivi ta' Identità u Tbatija, will transform themes emerging from these interviews into a Maltese monologue performance, giving voice to experiences that are often left unspoken.

👥The interviews are trauma-informed, and will remain anonymous.

"My name is Abigail Farrugia and I am a student at the University of Malta, presently reading for a Master of Psychology in Counselling Psychology.

As part of my dissertation research, I am conducting a study exploring how adult men understand and make sense of their childhood experiences of domestic abuse, and how they feel these experiences may have influenced their relationships in adulthood.

I am looking for adult men aged 18 years and over who identify as male and who experienced or witnessed domestic abuse during childhood and who may be willing to speak about their
experiences in a one-time interview. Participation is entirely voluntary and confidential, and you may withdraw at any time. Interviews may take place either face-to-face or online,
depending on your preference.

Thank you for your time and consideration. This study hopes to contribute to a better understanding of men’s experiences of childhood domestic abuse and how these may shape emotional and relational experiences later in life.
