A busy Friday evening at the pavilion as 2 fixtures in the John Tabone Shield Amateur Men category were played.

In the first fixture, Athleta AtoZ managed to keep off Depiro Hoops to claim their 2nd victory of the group stage. The John Tabone Shield resumes this weekend with another 7 group stage matchups across 3 categories 🏆

Later today in the Amateur Men category, Depiro Hoops will look to bounce back as they face a tough task in Athleta AtoZ who already have a win in the group stage from last weekend. Following that, Luxol Neo and Hibernians will battle it out, with a must-win scenario for the Paolites to stay in contention for a place in the semis.

On Saturday, Valletta Knights will feature in their first match of the season, facing Starlites Naxxar in the Amateur Men category. A double header in the Women's category follows as Valletta Lionesses' hope of making past the group stage is determined against Betsson Depiro, with a re-match of the recent Super Cup final finishing off the afternoon as Hibernians and Caffe Moak Luxol will go head-to-head.

The weekend closes off with the Men's category, starting off with a battle between Athleta AtoZ and Valletta Lions, with the latter coming from a very busy summer transfer window. Last but not least, Luxol Sherries will hope for a bounce-back performance against The Plaza Depiro to stay alive in the group stage.

A great series of cup action awaits us at the pavilion this week 🏆
