Malta Minifootball Association
The Malta Minifootball Association was founded on November 1, 2019 with aim of organizing and administrating official 6 a side football competitions in Malta.
As main governing body for minifootball game in Malta, we are affiliated to the International SOCCA Federation, which is the Worldwide main governing body for minifootball game. Thanks to this, our teams will be eligible to participate in the SOCCA Champions League as well as Malta’s national team will have a chance to participate in the SOCCA World Cup.
Season 2019/2020
Season 2019/2020 was the first season organized by Malta Minifootball Association. The Premier League kicked off on the November 16, 2019, where 8 participant teams clashed with each other for the first time. Unfortunately just after second half season general situation with COVID-19 struck us all, so we were forced to delay all the games of the Premier League. As situation was developing in wrong direction during the time, we decided to end the league season 2019/2020 taking the current standings as the final. By this, first winner of the Minifootball Premier League was team White Eagles mostly thanks to the close win in direct encounter with United Stars, who ended second placed with just 3 points less. Regarding entire situation, after calling off the league season, we were not able to start the Cup competition, which was registered as void.
