We are incredibly grateful to be a beneficiary of Joseph "Spice" Spiteri's first project as a writer and producer. Not only has he brought a creative vision to life, but he’s also used it to give back to the community in a big way.

We’ve just received a generous €1,000 donation to support our mission at Beating Hearts Malta. This contribution—alongside his support for Puttinu Cares—shows Spice’s true commitment to making a local impact. His commitment is that for every book sold, Eur 1 will go to Beating Hearts Malta.

Beating Hearts Malta would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Europe Cricket Legends and the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival for their generous donation of €3,375 this year.

A special mention goes to tournament director Frankie Spiteri, along with his fellow organisers and all the participating teams, whose efforts made this contribution possible.

Most of the funds were raised through the festival’s dinners and events, with additional support from the incredible Over 60s teams from the UK, Canada, and Australia. As the largest festival of its kind in Europe, this event plays an important role in promoting seniors cricket while also showcasing Malta as a top destination for international sports tourism.

Since 2018, proceeds have been donated to Beating Hearts Malta, raising an amazing total of €13,593 to date ❤️

​Seeing baby Chloe’s diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) hit home for so many of us here at Beating Hearts Malta. That moment of shock, the rush of medical terms, and the fear of the unknown—it’s a journey our "heart parents" know all too well.

​While it’s just a show, for us, it’s real life. We are so grateful to see CHD getting the screen time it deserves. It reminds us that we aren’t alone in this fight.

February is Heart Month, a time to shine a light on the most common type of birth defect: Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).

While it is a medical term often discussed, it’s important to understand what it actually means for the millions of people living with it.

CHD affects nearly 1 in every 100 babies born worldwide. It is not caused by anything a parent did or didn't do—it is simply how the heart formed during development. Thanks to incredible medical progress, "heart warriors" are now living longer, fuller lives than ever before.

This month, we celebrate their strength and the progress made in cardiac care.
