Pembroke Scout Group - Venture Unit proudly participated in the JOTA-JOTI 2026 at LX9S – Station in Luxembourg.
An incredible weekend for the Pembroke Venture Unit at their first International Camp - Connecting the world during JOTA-JOTI 2026.
What an incredible weekend!
Four days filled with radio, technology, teamwork and international friendships. The Unit connected with other Scouts and radio amateurs from all over the world, from the LX9S communication centre in Luxembourg! 🇱🇺
The event managed to achieve exceptional milestone:
📡 **2,313 QSOs**
🌍 **6 continents reached**
📍 **1,467 grid locators**
🤝 **2,020 unique callsigns**
From HF to VHF, from CW to SSTV and even via QO-100, the stations connected people across borders.
JOTA-JOTI is however more than numbers. Pembroke Scout Group Venture Unit Scouts and Leaders - Venture Scout Leader Ruben Paul Borg and Quarter Master Steven Zarb, had important encounters with International Scouts from Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Germany and representatives of WOSM. The event including training in STEM and practical hands-on sessions for the Ventures, activities with other groups and Cultural visits to the UNESCO world Heritage City of Luxembourg.
The event brought people together, sharing knowledge, discovering technology and showing the next generation what amateur radio can do.
THANK YOU to the hosts at , Bauler Frank and all operators, Scouts, volunteers and everyone who helped make LX9S 2026 such a fantastic experience! The group thanks Ivan Privitera for his great support to the group, making this activity possible.
