Up next at 'ISSA' - A tribute to Rhys Celeste aka MICROLITH, the artist, the music and the lasting connection between a musician and his machines.
HUMANS+=MACHINES: Microlith: An Artist in Love with His Machines
For Rhys Celeste, aka Microlith, machines were never just tools. They were companions in a creative journey, each with their own character, quirks and possibilities, helping shape a sound that was unmistakably his.
Hosted by Ed Blank and Sound Synthesis, and with the additional help from fellow electronic music artists Mutex, Acidulant and Vertical Dimensions, we remember the much-missed Rhys through a listening session and discussion exploring the instruments, techniques and working methods behind his remarkable body of electronic music.
Drawing on their own experiences and perspectives as electronic music producers, the participating artists will share insights into Rhys's creative approach, his distinctive sound and the musical legacy he leaves behind.
Through the machines he loved and the sounds he created, we celebrate not only his artistry, but the unique musical voice he leaves behind.
A tribute to Microlith — the artist, the music and the lasting connection between a musician and his machines.
Entrance is FREE.
