FORMS OF PRESENCE | EXHIBITION 🇲🇹🎨
After months of collaboration across Europe, we are approaching the final step of the Professional Media Presence Project: Forms of Presence Exhibition.

Running simultaneously across all countries involved in the project, the exhibition brings together artistic practices that explore different ways of expressing, questioning and understanding presence, self and identity.

🇲🇹 The Maltese edition features the work of 7 Maltese artists, whose practices span traditional, expanded and new media. Although diverse in their approaches, their work is connected through one common denominator: the self and identity as a fundamental part of our existence.

The evening will include:
🎨 An introduction to the Forms of Presence exhibition
🤝 A chance to meet the participating artists
🥂 Finger food and refreshments
💬 An opportunity to discover more about the PMP Project and its journey

📣 Karl Vella Foundation - KVF, together with Prisms (Malta), Fundacja Imago (Poland) and Asociatia .terra (Romania), have the pleasure of inviting you to the final conference of the Erasmus+ project Transformative Journeys: Nurturing young people facing challenges through creative approaches.

Over the past two years, our partnership has explored three innovative and creative approaches; martial arts as a somatic therapeutic practice, wilderness therapy, and narrative approaches, to support the well-being and resilience of young people facing trauma, loss, illness and other life challenges. This conference marks the culmination of that journey, bringing together the public, caregivers, educators, psychotherapists, youth workers, policymakers and other professionals to share what we have learned.

What a great summer it’s been at the CAP Teens San Ġwann! 🌞 From games, live ins and outings to just hanging out together, we have had such a great time with the young people who make the youth centre what it is. 💙 our young people truly made it a season to remember. 💫

We can’t wait to kick off the new year with fresh ideas, new adventures, and even more fun. Keep an eye out for more information of when we're starting! If you’ve been thinking about joining, this is the perfect time, come be part of the journey! 💬

Day 2 – 3rd August | Nonviolent Communication 💬

On Day 2, we started with an energising activity where our voices, hand gestures, and song lyrics became tools for expressing different emotions. 🎶🙌

We then continued with interactive improvisation theatre games that encouraged spontaneity, active participation, and connection, creating plenty of space for everyone to express themselves and join in.

Later, we explored Nonviolent Communication and Rosenberg’s Iceberg Model, looking beyond visible behaviour to understand the needs, emotions, and reasons behind it. Through collaborative brainstorming and reflection, we discovered how empathy and deeper listening can change the way we communicate with others. 🧠💙

Another day of learning through creativity, play, and connection. ✨

🎭🇷🇴 The Puppet Connection! From 1–9 August, a group of young people from Malta travelled to Romania for an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange focused on puppet theatre, creativity and social dialogue. 🇲🇹✈️🇷🇴

Through storytelling, puppet-making, theatre and teamwork, they explored social themes, developed new skills and connected with young people from across Europe. 🌍🎨🤝 A week of creativity, learning, new friendships and unforgettable memories! ✨

The experience encouraged young people to step outside their comfort zones, express themselves creatively, learn from one another and discover how theatre can be a powerful tool for communication and social change. 💬❤️

🚀 Exciting progress on the Same Chance Employment project!

We are delighted to share that we have successfully completed the first phase of the project! 🎉 During this stage, we carried out research with employers 🤝 to better understand the opportunities and challenges surrounding the employment of autistic individuals. The insights gathered have already been transformed into a series of practical learning modules 📚 designed to support employers in creating more inclusive workplaces. 🌍

✨ Now, we have moved into the second phase of the project, and the spotlight is on autistic job seekers and autistic people already in employment. 💼 Through our research, we are exploring their experiences of finding work, retaining employment, and the challenges and barriers they encounter along the way. 🗣️ Their voices are helping us shape the next set of learning resources, ensuring that they are relevant, practical, and truly respond to their needs. 💡

💻 We are currently finalising the content of these interactive online modules while working closely with our technical team 👨‍💻👩‍💻 to bring them to life through an engaging digital platform.

👀 We cannot wait to share the first version of the platform with you! Stay tuned for more updates 📢 as we continue working towards making employment more accessible, inclusive, and supportive for autistic people. ✨
