This week our Ventures held a very different activity to their usual meetings.

As part of their progress towards the Venture Award, three of our Ventures organised a football tournament, inviting our leaders, committee members, and ex-members to join in.

It was an evening full of fun, great energy, and friendly competition. It was also a lovely opportunity to catch up with old friends and bring different members of our group family together.

This Saturday our Troop Scouts had a very busy and productive meeting.

The session started with two of our older Troop Scouts giving presentations on the work they have been carrying out as part of their final steps towards completing the Design & Building Interest Badge.

They then gave a huge helping hand in cleaning and setting up HQ in preparation for our upcoming Pasta Night Fundraiser. Their hard work and effort are greatly appreciated, and the group would like to thank all the Scouts who helped out.

Even after all that work, they still managed to squeeze in some quick fun games to close off the meeting.

Last Friday our Cubs had a fun-filled session at HQ.

The meeting started with two presentations delivered by two of our Cubs as part of their work towards completing their Interest Badges. One Cub presented the Local Historian Interest Badge, while another presented the Musician Interest Badge.

They then took part in an interesting session about the new Cub Programme, delivered by our leaders, helping them prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

The evening ended with some fun games, closing off the meeting with plenty of energy and smiles.

This Saturday’s Troop meeting was a special one, especially for our Patrol Leaders, as the meeting was planned and led completely by them.

Throughout the session, the Patrol Leaders taught the rest of the section about sign language and Morse code, giving the Scouts the opportunity to learn new and useful communication skills.

It was an informative and enjoyable meeting, while also helping the Scouts continue progressing towards their Communicator Interest Badge.

This Friday our Cubs held their annual Cooking Competition, turning their meeting into a fun and delicious challenge.

Parents and guardians were invited to join in the activity, working together with the Cubs to prepare a creative three-course meal for the judges to taste. Each team chose its own theme and was also given a mystery ingredient which had to be included in one of their dishes.

All teams did a fantastic job, showing great teamwork, creativity, and effort throughout the evening. The judges were treated to some truly incredible dishes!

From Monday 1st June to Wednesday 3rd June, we had the pleasure of hosting the Cervi Patrol from AGESCI Roma 104 at our HQ.

On Tuesday, our Ventures met with them for an evening of fun icebreaking games, giving everyone the chance to get to know each other and learn more about Scouting in Italy.

Moments like these remind us of one of the most beautiful aspects of Scouting, being part of one large family, connected across different countries and cultures.

Last Saturday, some of our Committee members lent a helping hand with the collection of two industrial fridges and one fryer for our HQ.

This equipment will be a great asset to our group, helping us continue improving our facilities and providing the best possible support for our members and activities.
