⚽💚 Supporting young people before it’s too late.

As President of ONG Malado, I am proud to be working hand in hand with Socogim PS Youth Football to support young footballers through education, skills development and sport.

Our goal is simple: give these children more opportunities to learn, grow and believe in themselves.

Through this partnership, ONG Malado will support the young players with educational activities while also helping provide essential football equipment such as balls, bibs and other training materials. ⚽📚

We believe that football can be much more than a game. It can be a safe space where young people develop discipline, teamwork, leadership, confidence and responsibility.

By investing in education and sport, we can help reduce young people’s exposure to drugs, violence, aggression and juvenile delinquency and, most importantly, create positive alternatives for their future.

But there is something even more important:

We have to listen to our young people before it is too late.

Every child has a story. Every child has potential. Sometimes, what they need most is simply someone who believes in them and gives them a chance.

🤝🏽 Together, through education and sport, we can help them build a better future.

🤝🏽 Building opportunities through education, sport and partnership.

It was a pleasure for Mohamed Diagana, President of ONG Malado, to welcome Aichetou Ahmed Fall, Nutritionist-Dietitian and President of ANEDS, at the Malado headquarters for a meaningful discussion about youth, women and education.

Our conversation focused on English Beyond the Game, a new English learning initiative designed to make English education more accessible to women involved in football and basketball in Mauritania. ⚽🏀📚

The programme has not started yet, but we are working step by step to build the right partnerships and create an opportunity that goes beyond sport — helping women athletes strengthen their English communication, confidence and future opportunities.

The initiative is being developed in partnership with AMAM, with Turkish Airlines as our main sponsor and supporter. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and for everyone contributing to this vision.

At ONG Malado, we believe that sport can open doors, but education can help people walk through them.

This is only the beginning. 🇲🇷💚

🎬✨ Retour sur une soirée inoubliable ! ✨🎬

Samedi 12 septembre, ONG Malado a réuni ses membres et invités autour du film The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.

Entre popcorn croustillant 🍿 et thé mauritanien parfumé 🫖, l’émotion était au rendez-vous.

👏 Les spectateurs ont adoré l’histoire inspirante de William, ce jeune garçon qui a transformé la vie de son village grâce à son courage et sa créativité.

💡 Un message fort : l’éducation et la détermination peuvent changer le monde.

Merci à tous ceux qui ont participé et partagé ce moment chaleureux. Votre enthousiasme nous motive à organiser encore plus d’événements culturels et éducatifs pour la communauté. 🌍💙

🌍 WHEN WORDS INSPIRE, VISIONS GROW, AND YOUTH TAKE ACTION.

This Friday, ONG Malado is honored to welcome Oumou Kane as our special guest for our Friday English Conversation.

A social entrepreneur, committed leader and advocate for women and youth, Oumou Kane is the founder of AMAM – Association Multiculturelle pour un Avenir Meilleur and the women’s football club ASC AMAM in Mauritania.

For more than a decade, she has been using sport, education, culture and economic empowerment as powerful tools for social transformation. Her journey in women’s football and her UEFA Certificate in Football Management (UEFA CFM) reflect her commitment to leadership, inclusion and sustainable development.

🎤 This Friday, her words will be more than a conversation. They will be an opportunity for our young people and Malado members to:
• Build confidence through English
• Discover the power of vision and leadership
• Understand the importance of education and healthcare
• Believe in their potential and take action
• Become positive actors of change in their communities

As Nelson Mandela reminded us:

FRIDAY ENGLISH CONVERSATION – ÉDITION SPÉCIALE

Ce vendredi, ONG Malado aura le plaisir d’accueillir une invitée spéciale : Mme Oumou Kane, Présidente de l’ONG AMAM et ancienne Directrice du football féminin mauritanien.

Une belle occasion de pratiquer l’anglais dans une ambiance conviviale, de développer sa confiance à l’oral et d’échanger autour du leadership, de l’engagement associatif, du parcours professionnel et de l’autonomisation des femmes.

🌱 Rethinking Entrepreneurship Through Innovation and Sustainable Agriculture

I am honored to be facilitating a Masterclass at FIARA 2026 under the theme:

“Entrepreneurship and Culture Differently: Hydroponics, Aquaponics & Sustainable Agriculture.”

As President of ONG Malado, and as a jurist and entrepreneur, I see entrepreneurship not simply as the creation of businesses, but as a powerful instrument for innovation, economic inclusion, youth empowerment and sustainable development.

Our discussion will explore how hydroponic and aquaponic systems, resource-efficient production, circular economy principles, climate-smart agriculture, and agri-tech innovation can contribute to more resilient food systems—particularly in contexts facing water scarcity, climate pressure and limited arable land.

For Africa and the Sahel, the challenge is not only to produce more, but to produce smarter, sustainably and inclusively.

This Masterclass will also be an opportunity to connect entrepreneurship, education, policy, legal frameworks and innovation, while encouraging young people to view agriculture not only as a traditional sector, but as a growing field for technology, investment, enterprise and professional opportunities.

I look forward to sharing ideas, learning from other participants, and contributing to meaningful conversations around the future of sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship.

Innovation becomes transformative when knowledge is turned into action.
