It marks the day of Lord Shiva's cosmic dance (Tandav) 💃 and his sacred marriage to Goddess Parvati 💕.
Devotees fast, stay awake, and chant mantras to seek Lord Shiva's blessings for spiritual growth 🌱, peace ☮️, and the removal of negative energies 🌟.
Char Pahar Pooja:

The night is divided into four Pahars 🕰️ for worship and meditation.
Each Pahar involves prayers, chanting, and offerings to Lord Shiva 🕉️.
The final Pahar, from 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM, is the most spiritually significant, believed to bring the highest blessings 🌄.
Sacred Ganga Water from Grand Bassin:

Fetching Ganga water from Grand Bassin in Mauritius 🌊 is a sacred act, symbolizing purification 🕊️ and divine blessings 💖.
The water is used in rituals to enhance devotion and spiritual significance 🙏.

Here are some key points to remember:

Be cautious on the path. If you're walking, the risk of accidents is higher, so stay alert and safe. 🚶‍♂️⚠️

Wear appropriate clothing and footwear. It's especially important to be visible at night—make sure you're dressed in reflective gear and comfortable shoes. 🧢👟🌙

Refrain from playing Bollywood songs or remixes. This is a devotional pilgrimage, so let’s focus on the sacred atmosphere and avoid distractions from non-religious music. 🎶🚫🎧

Drivers must always be cautious and respect pedestrians. Don’t drive recklessly and make sure not to block the path. Yield when needed, and be humble. 🚗⚖️

Kawars should be practical and manageable. Let’s keep them compact and safe. Safety is always the top priority! 🛕⚙️

Alcohol and ci******es will not be tolerated. This is a sacred pilgrimage, and we must respect its sanctity. 🚫🍷🚬

Bollywood music and imitating Bollywood scenes are not appropriate. Let’s maintain respect by avoiding these and acting in a dignified manner. 🎭🙏

If you and your team decide to rest, choose a safe place with enough lighting. Ensure it is away from traffic or crowds and is a secure spot for you and your kawars. 🛑💡🚶‍♂️

Keep noise to a minimum, especially at night. Let’s respect those around us by being considerate. 🌙🤫

Give way to police, firefighters, or ambulances. Always prioritize the emergency services. 🚔🚒🚑

Stay informed about what’s happening around you. Pay attention to weather forecasts and any updates regarding the event. ☀️📱📰

Walk in a single line on highways, especially during dawn or dusk. Stay together and be visible to avoid accidents. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🌅

Make sure children are well-behaved and obedient. Keep an eye on them for their safety. 👶👀

For your safety: 🌺 Only accept food and drinks from recognized groups of volunteers in well-lit, secure areas. 🌺

🚩 Be cautious of anyone offering food or beverages in suspicious or unverified situations.

⚠️ If you encounter anything that feels inappropriate or unsettling, please report it immediately to the local authorities. ⚠️
