What the CNMI needs, as leaders past and present have patiently explained to federal officials, is a workforce program administered by U.S. authorities but tailored to local realities.

Fit to Lead is about bringing officials and the community together to stay active, stay healthy, and move forward—together.

Built with purpose. Built for the people.

Since 2022, the CNMI delivered a modern, accessible public transit system—improving mobility and strengthening economic activity across our islands.

Through the CNMI Economic Rebuild Program, transit investments helped reconnect nearly 20,000 residents to jobs, education, healthcare, and daily life.

Real progress. Real results.
ReConnect CNMI.

A stronger economy begins at home. By supporting local businesses, investing in reliable infrastructure, and protecting the livelihoods of working families, we can build stability and opportunity that last. Moving forward means making thoughtful decisions today that strengthen our islands for tomorrow.

Strong education builds a strong future. We recognize the important role of schools across the CNMI—such as Saipan Southern High School, Kagman High School, Marianas High School, Hopwood Junior High School, Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, Tanapag Middle School, and our public and private elementary schools—in shaping our next generation.

Our appreciation goes to our dedicated educators and teachers, and to the parents and families who support learning every day. Together, our shared commitment to education helps create lasting opportunities for our students and our islands.

A key shift under Gov. Torres in 2022 was reframing Garapan as:

“Not just for tourists—but for families and residents.”

Making Garapan attractive to locals again

Why this matters for tourism:

Lively local use = safer, more vibrant town

Businesses can survive even when tourist numbers dip

Visitors prefer destinations that feel authentic and alive.

A solution for geographic isolation of the islands

Key priorities included:

Expanding fiber and broadband access across Saipan, Tinian, and Rota

Reducing the digital divide, especially in rural and outer island communities

Supporting education, telehealth, government services, and business connectivity

The news we’ve been waiting for! Former Governor Ralph DLG Torres has officially filed his intent to run for Governor in 2026. 🇲🇵

Now more than ever, the CNMI needs a leader who knows how to navigate tough times and deliver real results. We remember the stability and the progress we had under his watch, and it’s time to bring that experience back to Capitol Hill. Let’s get our islands moving again! 📈💪

The Republican Party of the Northern Mariana Islands (the “Party”) announced that its Executive Committee convened and certified that two (2) Letters of Intent have been duly submitted by Vinnie Flores Sablan and Ralph Deleon Guerrero Torres, each seeking the Party’s endorsement to run for Gov...

In 2022, under the leadership of Governor Torres, this initiative marked an important step toward improving ADA-accessible, cost-efficient, and environmentally responsible public transportation in the CNMI.

The procurement of 8-passenger high-roof mobility transit vans reflected a shared commitment to inclusive mobility and reduced carbon and greenhouse gas emissions — values that continue to guide our transportation goals today.
