Good job to captain George Moses on his well deserved win coming in 1st place bagging $2500 grand prize for him and his team “Sweet Candy”. George has been fishing our waters for over 25 years. What a well deserved win for a long time supporter of the SFA and fishing in the Marianas! George does it all, from inside the lagoon to bottom fishing to trolling! What a beautiful fish and Beautiful day for fishing! George said, “I to give a big thank you to the few hard working SFA president, members and volunteers. T-MINUS 4 days till we will hear those reels scream! As much as we want to have an amazing derby here is your friendly reminder to have all your safety equipement ready! Here are 10 simple steps thing to do or remember!

1. Make sure your boat is registered
2. Have your life vests ready and in compliance
3. Have the appropriate flares and/ flare guns
4. Double check your VHF Radio and bring extra batteries if you use a hand held
5. Let someone know your route for the day in case anything happens
6. Have a first aid kit on board just in case! ( bolt cutter recommended but not required😜)
7. Have enough food and water just in case of emergency
8. Protect yourself from the sun
9. Check your boats battery, engine oil and overall maintence
10. Practice safe boating at all times!
