Congratulations to all of the families who participated and successfully completed the 1st cycle for SY2022.2023 of the Northern Marianas Humanities Council's Motheread/Fatheread CNMI class at Garapan Elementary School! We are so proud of you!

8 weeks of reading, borrowing books, sharing stories, and making new friends. In person classes. Cultural literacy classes. Surrounded by books galore. Increased family bonding time📚 and so much more!!!

During the completion ceremony, families read and translated the Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss in Bangladeshi, Tagalog, and Chamorro.They were awarded certificates of completion, care packages, and gathered for a beautiful potluck celebration. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us!

Thank you to Garapan Elementary School, Team, Admin, Librarian Ms. Tonnya Magofna, and Principal Derwin Johnson for your continued support. Thank you to Motheread/Fatheread CNMI certified adult course teachers -- Viola S. Deleon Guerrero, Assistant Coordinator Celina Foreman and Program Coordinator Beth Demapan.
