At the Harbin Ice and Snow World, Chopard unveiled a breathtaking ice sculpture installation. Inspired by the iconic collection and the inaugural Happy Clown jewelry series created by Caroline Scheufele, Artistic Director and Co-President of Chopard, the installation brought a blend of continuous creativity and emotional resonance to the ice city. It infused Harbin with a modern, pioneering energy while conveying the brand’s Joie de Vivre philosophy, adding unique artistic charm to the cultural-tourism exchange platform fostered by this year’s forum.

On December 16, 2025, Harbin was honored as the "World Outstanding City for Ice and Snow" by UN Tourism during the 11th edition of the Global Tourism Economy Forum · Heilongjiang 2025. This prestigious recognition celebrates the city’s exceptional resources and China’s growing leadership in the ice and snow economy.

Caroline Scheufele, Artistic Director and Co-President of Chopard, delivered a special address, sharing the brand’s appreciation for winter culture and Harbin’s unique charm — deepening cultural dialogue and reinforcing shared values in culture and tourism.

To extend the winter inspiration of the forum, Chopard also announced a limited‑edition timepiece, inspired by Harbin’s ice‑snow beauty. The watch captures the elegance of snowflakes on the dial, blending haute horlogerie with winter wonder — a timeless tribute to Harbin and this landmark forum.

The 11th Global Tourism Economy Forum · Heilongjiang 2025 has concluded with outstanding results, following the forward-looking dialogue, including keynote speeches, panel sessions, special interviews, fireside chats, case studies, and roadshow sessions. The 11th edition of the forum, for the first time outside Macao and culminated on 15 to 17 December in Harbin, brought together leaders from the global tourism industry and related sectors over three days of dynamic exchange. It further demonstrates the forum’s role as a premier international platform for fostering tourism cooperation and regional revitalization, while solidifying Heilongjiang’s dynamic position as a global hub for winter and cultural tourism.

Under the theme “New Quality Productive Forces: Powering the Global Tourism Economy,” participants explored opportunities for development and innovative cooperation. To further engage local Macao stakeholders, a satellite venue had been set up in Macao, broadcasting key sessions from the main venue in Heilongjiang in real time. Interactive two-way streaming enables live dialogue between the two locations, deepening regional connectivity and collaboration.

The opening ceremony of the 11th Global Tourism Economy Forum · Heilongjiang 2025 (GTEF) took place at the Shangri-La Songbei, Harbin this morning (December 16). With over 1,000 leaders, innovators, and changemakers gathered from around the world to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the GTEF together.

The 11th GTEF takes as its theme “New Quality Productive Forces: Powering the Global Tourism Economy,” exploring how innovation, sustainability, and collaboration will redefine the future of travel.
