Orchlon Model United Nations (OMUN) is an educational simulation of the United Nations made for the purpose of gathering a handful of intelligent individuals to not only augment their capabilities in public speaking, leadership and debating but also to give them a unique experience in figuring out international relations, diplomacy and so much more. ure filled debating session, it’s a special event made specifically for the hot blooded young adults of Mongolia that are seeking something education, maybe even life changing while also searching for something that can allow them to unlock hidden talents as well as meet inspiring people of their own age. Features of OMUN

First fully merit based MUN held in Mongolia, that will allow students from all economic backgrounds to participate without any difficulties
First MUN event in Mongolia that will be held by the Yale Hybrid format used in multiple international MUNs around the the world, which allows participants to prepare by this specific format within their own country
Organised by students both in and out of Orchlon school, all with prior experience organising, chairing, participating and/or leading both national and international MUN. After 2 years of consistent action and organisation, the OMUN project is aiming to become a Yale MUN, one of only a few running in Asia, that will be open from students all around the world - an international MUN

Orchlon Model United Nations буюу "Орчлон Загвар Нэгдсэн Үндэсний Байгууллага" нь залуу үеийнхнийг цуглуулж, олон нийтийн яриа, манлайлал, мэтгэлцээн өрнүүлэх чадварыг нэмэгдүүлэх зорилгоор боловсруулсан НҮБ-ын боловсролын загварчилсан чуулган юм. Олон улсын харилцаа, дипломат харилцаа зэрэг олон зүйлүүдээс бүрдсэн "Орчлон Загвар Нэгдсэн Үндэсний Байгууллага" нь ердөө л 3 өдрийн мэтгэлцээнээр дуусахгүй бөгөөд Монгол улсын өсвөр үеийнхэнд эрэлт хэрэгцээтэй байгаа нэмэлт боловсрол олгож, амьдралыг нь өөрчлөхөд зориулагдсан онцгой үйл ажиллагаа юм. Үүгээр ч зогсохгүй "Орчлон Загвар Нэгдсэн Үндэсний Байгууллага" нь өөрийн насны ижил хүсэл эрмэлзэл, чадвар, сонирхол, мөн үзэл бодолтой нөлөө бүхий хүмүүстэй уулзаж танилцах боломжийг олгодог. "Орчлон Загвар Нэгдсэн Үндэсний Байгууллага"-ийн онцлогуудаас дурьдвал:
● Нийгмийн бүхий л давхаргын суралцагчдад ямар ч хүндрэлгүйгээр оролцож болох боломжийг олгосон Монгол улсдаа анхдагч бүрэн эрхт бие даасан MUN.
● Монголдоо Yale Hybrid format буюу дэлхийн өнцөг булан бүрийн олон улсын MUN-үүдэд хэрэглэгддэг форматийг ашигласан анхны MUN. Энэхүү формат нь оролцогчдод өөрийн онцлог форматаар бэлтгэх боломжийг бүрэн олгодог.
● Орчлон олон улсын сургуулийн сурагчдаас гадна удирдах, зохион байгуулах, манлайлах, шинийг санаачлах туршлага болон чадвартай бүхий л сургуулиудын сурагчид оролцон зохион байгуулах боломжийг олгож байдаг.
● "Орчлон Загвар Нэгдсэн Үндэсний Байгууллага" нь 2 жилийн хугацаанд тогтвортой үйл ажиллагаа явуулж, олон улсын жишигт нийцэн зохион байгуулагдсаар Азийн цөөн тооны орнуудад үйл ажиллагаагаа явуулдаг Yale Hybrid форматтай MUN-үүдийн нэг албан ёсоор болох зорилгоор жилээс жилд өсөн дэвжин ажиллаж байгаа билээ.
● Монгол улсын өнцөг булан бүрт суралцаж буй сурагчдад дэлхий нийтийг хамарсан асуудлуудын дагуу мэтгэлцэж хэлэлцүүлэг хийх хүн бүрт, ялангуяа залуу үеийнхэнд байх ёстой дипломат харилцааны соёлыг хөгжүүлэх зорилготой.

Орчлон сургуулиас жил бүр уламжлал болгон зохион байгуулах Нэгдсэн Үндэстний Загвар мэтгэлцээнд оролцохыг урьж байна. Монгол улсын өнцөг булан бүрт суралцаж байгаа Ахлах сургуулийн 9-12р ангийн сурагчдад нээлттэй, 3 өдрийн турш үнэ төлбөргүй, Англи хэл дээр зохион байгуулагдах энэхүү арга хэмжээнд оролцохын тулд та өргөдөл бөглөн хүсэлтээ гаргаж, сонгон шалгаруулалтад тэнцэхэд л болно.

Our Story

Orchlon International School has hosted multiple successful annual Model United Nations conferences in the past, and will be hosting the second Model Governments conference in Mongolia this year. Model Governments is a simulation of government functions and processes, such as a parliamentary assembly or an advisory board meeting for a monarch.

Orchlon Governments takes an interesting turn from most debate-related activities, in that it takes place in a world affected by a realistic problem - the post-nuclear-warfare problem. On the Islands of Kalmos now exist 4 nation states. Each state, due to their historical and ethnical backgrounds, all have drastically different ideas on how a state should be governed. As a member of the governing body of your newfound state, you must work to establish a stable functioning government with all of its different organs, such as the different ministries and agencies. Your government will be tested with different realistic scenarios, so you must ensure its legitimacy and stability.

The rules and procedures of Model Governments are those of intensity and realism. Employing the Crisis System, delegates have the ability to interact with the world the conference takes place in. This means participants are able to work behind the scenes to achieve a higher status, sabotage others, or anything else that he/she so wishes. For example, a delegate is allowed to attempt to offshore funds from the government and use that money to bribe other officials to do their dirty deeds. Furthermore, Orchlon Governments employs an interconnected committee system; as the committees all inhabit the same continent, actions in one committee may affect others, and committees are allowed to interact with one another to an extent. From peaceful ambassadors visiting to discuss trade, to military generals with threats of invasion; from economic coalitions to secret alliances, almost anything is possible - and it will all be done by the delegates themselves.
