Clubbing Heritage x Playtime Festival arrives in Ulaanbaatar on April 30 & May 1 in collaboration with Goethe-Institut and the Italian Cultural Institute Beijing.
The first chapter is on April 30 at NARBAR with a welcome event dedicated to networking, conversations, interviews, and DJ sets by Kouni and WAHYAHSEH — an open moment to connect and set the tone.
On May 1, we host panel discussions at NARBAR:
“The Art of Live Performance & Preserving the Night: Artistic Expression & Label Building”
with David Sumner (Function), founder of Infrastructure and a key figure with over 30 years of releases, both solo and as part of projects such as Sandwell District & L*D; Anthony Linell, co-founder of Northern Electronics and the mind behind projects such as Abdulla Rashim, Lundin Oil & Ulwhednar; EID55558.55, a Mongolian underground artist blending diverse sonic influences; Costanza Mondani, Italian activist and DJ known as Kouni.
“Running a Club, Building a Culture: The Political and Cultural Role of Clubs & Collectives”
with Naja Orashvili and Giorgi Khizanishvili, co-founders of Bassiani club in Tbilisi, a vital force in contemporary club culture; Bilguun Tuvshinbold, founder of XAOS Festival and music director of Playtime Festival; Giuseppe Moramarco, Clubbing Heritage advocate.
The Mongolian program culminates in a club night at On’n Off, extending the experience into a shared, city-wide celebration.
