✨ 6th Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) Training Session ✨

We are just ONE DAY away from the 6th Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) Training Session, taking place 18–19 September 2026 at Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon! 🇲🇲 Hosted by Rotary clubs from across Myanmar, the program brings together Rotarians for practical leadership development, Rotary learning, fellowship, and connection with local and international facilitators.

The Basic Leadership Course will be held on 18–19 September at MMK 400,000, inclusive of the Welcome Dinner, while the Facilitator Course will take place on 20 September at MMK 500,000. The Welcome Dinner will be held on 18 September at the Chatrium Hotel Poolside at MMK 170,000 per person.

Seats are limited and confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon full payment.

📣Youth Leadership Master Class Final Preparations 📣

RCDM is putting the final touches on our upcoming Youth Leadership Master Class, led by Professor Dr. Aung Tun Thet as the Lead Facilitator. 📚

Together with our partner clubs, RCMY, RCGY, and RCRA, we are developing a comprehensive program designed to equip young people with practical knowledge and essential skills for the future. The Master Class will cover key topics including AI Basics, AI Marketing, the Future of AI and Automation, Soft Skills, Financial Literacy, and Team Building. 🤖

✨The program will feature expert-led facilitator sessions and guest speakers, alongside interactive learning, practical activities, and team-building exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, explore emerging technologies, strengthen essential life and career skills, and develop the confidence to lead in an increasingly digital and dynamic world.

RCDM looks forward to bringing this collaborative initiative to life with RCMY, RCGY, and RCRA, creating a meaningful platform to empower young people and prepare them for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

🤖 Exploring AI as a Thinking Partner

On 8 September 2026, the Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) was pleased to participate in the September Regular Meeting of the Rotary Club of Central Yangon, held at the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon. The meeting featured distinguished guest speaker U Aung Chit Khin, Founder and Chairman of Strategy First Education Group Limited, who shared valuable insights on “AI as Your Thinking Partner: Better Decisions in Business and Life.”

The session provided an engaging opportunity to explore how Artificial Intelligence can support better decision-making, innovation, leadership, and personal growth, while encouraging us to think about how AI can become a practical partner in both business and everyday life.

RCDM sincerely thanked the Rotary Club of Central Yangon for the kind invitation and for organizing a meaningful evening of fellowship, learning, and knowledge sharing. We were delighted to connect with fellow Rotarians and exchange ideas on the opportunities that AI can bring to our future. 🤝💙💛

✨ RCDM September Executive Board Meeting ✨

On September 2, 2026, the Executive Board of the Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) convened at the Governor Residence, Yangon, for our September Executive Board Meeting.

The meeting brought together our Club Directors and Committee Chairs for an important session of leadership, strategic discussion, and fellowship. It provided an opportunity for the Board to align on our priorities, evaluate ongoing activities, and strengthen our collective direction for the months ahead.

Key discussions focused on our ongoing service projects, upcoming community initiatives, fundraising activities, and opportunities for collaboration. Through these discussions, the Board continues to work toward developing initiatives that are purposeful, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

As RCDM continues to grow, our focus remains firmly centered on Service Above Self—strengthening our ability to serve, creating meaningful opportunities for community engagement, and turning ideas into action.

🏥 RCDM Visits Peti Foundation’s Hlaing Thar Yar Clinic

On 31 August 2026, the Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) was pleased to visit the Peti Foundation’s Hlaing Thar Yar Clinic, where President Charles Aung Steber and President-Elect Soe Tun had the opportunity to learn more about the clinic’s operations, patient needs, and current challenges.

The clinic provides an important healthcare service to the local community, serving approximately 70–100+ patients each week through four clinic sessions per month. Its operations are currently supported by five dedicated volunteers who contribute their time to assist with patient care and clinic services.

One of the key challenges highlighted during the visit was the ongoing cost of essential medicines. The clinic spends approximately MMK 20 lakhs per month, or around MMK 5 lakhs per week, on medicines alone. This significant recurring expense highlights the importance of sustainable support to ensure essential medicines remain accessible to those who need them.

As part of RCDM’s commitment to expanding access to community healthcare, RCDM is looking to expand its clinic network to the Hlaing Thar Yar location, increasing our capacity from one clinic to two clinics. This will be an important step toward our broader goal of establishing five clinic locations across communities where healthcare support is most needed.

The visit provided us with valuable insight into the clinic’s impact and the opportunities for RCDM and our partners to contribute meaningfully. We look forward to building strong partnerships and working together to expand access to quality, affordable, and sustainable community healthcare.

🤝 Joint Installation of Rotary Clubs in Mandalay

On 30 August 2026, CP Sandar Aung Steber represented the Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) at the Joint Installation Ceremony of Rotary Clubs in Mandalay. 💙💛

The event celebrated a new chapter of Rotary leadership, fellowship, and service, bringing together Rotarians, Rotaractors, and volunteers united by a shared commitment to serving the community. 🌏🤝

The continued growth of Rotary in Mandalay including the establishment of the Rotary Club of Royal Mandalay and the development of youth-focused Rotaract initiatives reflects the strength of collaboration and the importance of empowering the next generation of leaders. 🌱

🌱 From Knowledge Sharing to Sustainable Growth

The Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) was pleased to participate in Rotary Club of Metro Yangon’s Monthly Meeting for August & Rotary Knowledge Sharing Session held on 28 August 2026.

The session explored key topics in modern business, including Digitalization & AI, B2B and Human-to-Human (H2H) relationships, and the Domino Effect & Flywheel Strategy.

The session highlighted the importance of continuous learning, building trust, and embracing technology to create sustainable growth for businesses and organisations. 💡🤝

The meeting also marked an important milestone as RCDM signed a MOU with MESDI and MRO to advance collaborative initiatives in environmental sustainability and youth service respectively. 🤝🌍👥

✨ HARMONY OF HEARTS: MUSIC, EMPOWERMENT & UNITY ✨

JCI Inya successfully hosted “Harmony of Hearts: Music, Empowerment & Unity” on 27 August 2026 at the Yangon Education Centre for the Blind, as part of VP Rajani Thapa’s JCI World Visit to Myanmar.

The program brought together members and participants through music, fellowship, shared moments, and charitable support, celebrating inclusion, compassion, and unity. 💙🎶

We are proud that President Charles Aung Steber of Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM), also an Executive Member of JCI Inya, supported this meaningful initiative.

This collaboration also marked an exciting step forward following the recent signing of an MOU between RCDM and JCI Inya. We look forward to building on this partnership through more meaningful and exciting joint projects in the near future. 🤝✨

🌟 3rd Rotaract & Interact Joint Installation Ceremony 2026–2027

The Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) was delighted to be part of the 3rd Rotaract & Interact Joint Installation Ceremony 2026–2027, organized by the Myanmar Rotaract Organization (MRO) and held on 22 August 2026 at Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon.

The ceremony welcomed more than 150 participants, including Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, and distinguished guests, coming together to celebrate a new year of leadership, fellowship, service, and collaboration. 🎉

We extend our warmest congratulations to all the newly installed Presidents, Board Members, Officers, and Members of the Rotaract and Interact Clubs. We look forward to supporting our partners throughout 2026–2027 as we work together to strengthen clubs, empower young leaders, and create meaningful impact.
