Yangon Film School is looking for two talented and reliable animation technicians to support our international tutor during an upcoming ten-week course in docuanimation in which participants will have an opportunity to explore different approaches to documentary storytelling using a variety of animation techniques.
Taught by visual artist and animator Inma Carpe (Spain) whose work also embraces animation as a tool for mental well-being, this non-residential course will be conducted in a mixture of tutorials and production sessions that are both challenging and fun.
Guided by the Animation Tutor and two experienced local trainers, participants of this course will learn step by step how to explore their own story ideas and translate these into treatments and storyboards and animatics in preparation for the production during the course of four short, animated documentaries.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Applicants for the position of Animation Technician should have strong Adobe software skills including Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects® and Premiere Pro. Knowledge of any open-source animation software such as Pencil 2D or Krita would be an advantage.
DUTIES
Animation Technicians will be physically present in the classroom throughout the course – both during development and project work. Their duties are to support the international tutor in showing the students how to use the software to develop animation using different media, and to help students working on specific assignments.

Payment 35 USD (thirty five US Dollar) per day during the course
