Pushing Myanmar Mya Lay Yone Skatepark - A community-built skatepark in Yangon, Myanmar

Pushing Myanmar was born out of a Make Life Skate Life project to construct the first free-of-charge community-built international standard skatepark in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). The 400 m² concrete skatepark was constructed over a 3 week period in December 2015, led by a team of over 30 volunteer skatepark builders from 15 countries around the world who worked with local skateboarders to teach the

m about concrete skatepark construction. Since the parks completion, an on-site equipment loaner system has been established to allow youth free access to skateboards, safety gear, and skate shoes, regardless of economic standing.

Proudly introducing Thar Pauk!

A local of Mya Lay Yone Skatepark and longterm beneficiary of our free-of-charge Loaner Board Program, Thar Pauk has a great style and deep bag of tricks. Already so talented at such a young age, the future seems bright for this Yangon ripper.

Thanks to all our donors and supporters over the years who have allowed us to continue providing access to skateboarding for the community, most recent Make Life Skate Life who generously provided us with x20 complete setups!
