Singapore Association of Myanmar - SAM Started in 1993, SAM is an association for Singaporeans living, working and doing business in Myanmar. The Executive Committee’s decision is final.

1) Ordinary members - Citizens and Permanent Residents of Singapore, aged 21 years and above

2) Associate members - Applicants who are residing in Myanmar may apply for Associate membership, pending approval from the Executive Committee. No reason shall be given in the ev

ent of rejection.

3) Corporate members -

A body corporate or unincorporated may apply for Corporate membership. Applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee and approved in its sole and absolute discretion. No reason(s) shall be given in the event of rejection of an application. Every Corporate member shall be entitled to nominate two persons to hold its membership. Applications for any changes of the persons holding the Corporate membership shall be made to the Secretary (Administrative).

Final Reminder: Registration Closing Soon for SINGather 2026

Dear SAM Members and Friends,

We are excited to welcome you to SINGather 2026: Hats & Bandanas Edition on Friday, 12 June 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Olive & Twist.

This annual gathering brings together SAM members, alumni of Singapore institutions, professionals, business leaders, and friends of Singapore and Myanmar for an evening of networking, music, and fellowship. This year, “SINGather 2026 with Hats & Bandanas” theme features a live singing contest with a professional live band, where attendees are invited to perform songs and wear your stylish hats or bandanas and win the prizes.

“Toy for Joy: Small Gifts, Big Smiles"
A big welcome to our corporate partners and donors

SAM's latest outreach project, "Toy for Joy: Small Gifts, Big Smiles” was launched in April and scheduled for June 2026.

This initiative aims to collect and distribute toys for over 600 children receiving treatment in Yangon Children Hospital & Yankin Children Hospital. A small gift of encouragement and joy.

In addition, SAM is preparing to donate essential medical equipment such as disposable infusion sets and other consumable items needed by the hospitals.

We invite our Members, Friends and Corporate Partners to participate in our mission to bring Joy to the children.

During December 2025, SAM proudly launched three special projects dedicated to supporting underprivileged students during the holiday season.

Our third project was the installation of a new water filtration system along with a dedicated drinking-water facility at Myanmar Agape Orphanage. The orphanage, home to 109 children and 25 staff, had been facing challenges due to an outdated system that no longer produced safe drinking water. This project ensures clean, reliable water for all 134 residents.

On 26 January 2026, members of the SAM Exco and Charity Committee visited the orphanage for a meaningful handover ceremony, which included snacks and refreshments for the children and the dedicated staff.

A heartfelt thank you to J’Donuts for generously donating your delicious donuts to the school community!
