There is estimated to be 3,5 million stray dogs in Burma, of which only 1% is vaccinated. We are a small, non-profit organization who works directly to help those animals on the streets that needs it the most. There are few shelters in Myanmar, and they can only take care of a limited number of animals. Our work is to visit as many Buddhist monastaries as possible, where dogs often are allowed to
live in peace, and neuture/spay them in their natural environment. Our long term goal is to start and operate a rescue clinic where sick and injured animals can be taken and given the right treatment, and then relased- giving space to other animals in need. But as our organization is of small size this poses financial challenges, and we can only do it with your help. We hope fellow animal lovers will support us in reaching this goal for our four legged friends in need. By western standards little can go a long way: The cost of one rabies vaccination is $3 (US). A dog can be vaccinated, sterilized and dewormed for approximately $25 – 30 (US). So please do not hesitate even if you can only help with a small one-time donation.
