Animal Street Rescue Yangon was started by Dr. San Yi Htet in 2013. Dr. San had personally rescued dogs on the street for many years, and then got other volunteers involved. Today we are a small group of 4-5 people who all do this for the love of animals. There are many dogs and cats in poor condition in Yangon, and we can only help a few. This is why contributions from the local community as well

It's desperately trying to reach its mother, who is confined inside a farrowing crate where she can't even turn around or properly comfort her babies.

Millions of pigs in factory farms spend their lives in conditions like these all so inexpensive pork can fill supermarket shelves.

Animals deserve more than a life of confinement.

Choosing plant-based meals is one simple way to reduce the demand for this suffering.

Mom... please save us. Please don't leave us. We don't want to die. We don't want to become food on someone's plate. We are only babies, and all we want is to stay close to you, feel your love, and grow up by your side. We don't understand why our lives must end when people have so many other foods they can choose. We are not asking for much—we only want a chance to live, to play, to run, and to grow with our family. Please don't let them take you away from us. We are scared, our hearts are full of fear, and our tears are real. We don't need a knife. We don't need a slaughterhouse. We only need our mother, her warmth, and the life we were born to live. Please see us as living, feeling babies, not as food. Our lives matter to us just as yours matters to you. Please let us stay together, let us live, and let our story end with love instead of fear.

Please... can you hear our tiny hearts? We are only babies. We do not understand why humans are taking us away from our mother. A little while ago we were safe beside her, feeling her warmth, hearing her heartbeat, and believing that nothing could hurt us. Now we are surrounded by fear, crying for the one who loves us most, but our cries are ignored. We are so small, so innocent, and we cannot understand why our lives have been chosen to end before they have truly begun. Is it because someone wants bacon? Is our whole life worth less than a meal? We are not bacon. We are not food. We are living babies with hearts that beat, eyes that cry, and souls that want to live. We dream of running, playing, sleeping beside our mother, and growing up just like every other child. We do not want to die. We do not want to be separated from the family that loves us. Every step away from our mother fills us with fear because we know we may never see her again. Please, look at us with kindness instead of hunger. Please let us keep the only life we have. Don't take us from our mother. Don't turn our short lives into someone's breakfast. Let us stay together. Let us grow up. Let us live. We are only babies, and all we are asking for is the chance to live in peace, loved instead of slaughtered, safe instead of afraid."

​ဒီရက်ပိုင်း လူမှုကွန်ရက်စာမျက်နှာတွေပေါ်မှာ တိချစ်သူတွေတင်မကဘဲ လူသားတိုင်းရဲ့ နှလုံးသားကို ဓားနဲ့မွှန်းသလို ခံစားရစေတဲ့ တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ၊ ဂွမ်ဒေါင်းပြည်နယ်၊ ဂျဲယန်းမြို့ (Jieyang) က လေလွင့်ခွေးမိသားစု ညှဉ်းပန်းနှိပ်စက်ခံရတဲ့ ဖြစ်ရပ်ဟာ ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်းလုံးမှာ ဒေါသထွက်စရာ ဖြစ်နေပါတယ်။
​ဘာအပြစ်မှမရှိ၊ ရွာသားတွေကျွေးတာကို အေးဆေးစွာစားတတ်တဲ့ "ဝမ်ဝမ်" လို့အမည်ရတဲ့ ခွေးမကြီးနဲ့ မျက်စိတောင် သေချာမပွင့်သေးတဲ့ ၂ ပတ်အရွယ် ခွေးပေါက်လေး ၃ ကောင်ကို အသက် ၁၄ နှစ်မပြည့်သေးတဲ့ ဆယ်ကျော်သက် ကလေး ၄ ဦးက ရက်ရက်စက်စက် ရိုက်နှက်ပြီး ဓာတ်ဆီလောင်း မီးရှို့သတ်ဖြတ်ခဲ့ကြတာပါ။ ပိုပြီးရင်နာဖို့ကောင်းတာက အဲဒီကလေးတွေဟာ သူတို့ရဲ့ ရက်စက်မှုကို ပျော်ရွှင်ရယ်မောပြီး ဗီဒီယိုရိုက်ကာ လူမှုကွန်ရက်ပေါ် တင်ခဲ့ကြတာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
​လက်ရှိမှာ ကျူးလွန်သူ ကလေးတွေဟာ အသက်မပြည့်သေးတာကြောင့် ရာဇဝတ်ဥပဒေအရ အပြစ်ပေးလို့မရဘဲ အထူးပြုပြင်ရေးကျောင်းတွေကိုပဲ ပို့ဆောင်ခံထားရပါတယ်။ ဒီလို ပြစ်ဒဏ်ပေါ့ပါးလွန်းတာကြောင့် တရုတ်နိုင်ငံက နာမည်ကြီး အနုပညာရှင်တွေ၊ တိချစ်သူတွေနဲ့ ပြည်သူတွေဟာ "တိရစ္ဆာန်ညှဉ်းပန်းနှိပ်စက်မှု တားဆီးကာကွယ်ရေးဥပဒေ (Anti-Animal Cruelty Law)" အမြန်ဆုံး ပြဋ္ဌာန်းပေးဖို့ မြို့ကြီးတွေရဲ့ ကြော်ငြာဘုတ်တွေအထိပါ အရှိန်အဟုန်နဲ့ တောင်းဆိုဆန္ဒပြနေကြပါတယ်။
