Last week, a group of interns from Mandalay completed a three-month training programme at our weaving studio in Yangon, gaining hands- on experience with wider-width jacquard looms.

They developed valuable skills in weaving, design, and quality control knowledge which they can now take back to their communities and build upon.

We’re incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work, and we wish them every success as they continue their journey and put their new skills into practice.

ဒီအစီအစဉ်မှာ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတစ်ဝန်းမှ လူငယ်များ စုစည်းပါဝင်ကာ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်း၊ ပညာရေးနှင့်ပတ်သတ်သည့် ခေါင်းစဉ်များအောက်တွင် Asian Parliamentary Debate ပုံစံဖြင့် ငြင်းခုံဆွေးနွေးယှဉ်ပြိုင်ခဲ့ကြခြင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Last week, Turquoise Mountain Myanmar was proud to host Youth Nexus 2026 at the Turquoise Mountain Culture Centre.

The event brought together young people from across Myanmar to compete in debates using the Asian Parliamentary debate format, developing their public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Throughout the day, participants confidently presented arguments, challenged ideas, and engaged in respectful dialogue on issues that matter to their communities.

At Turquoise Mountain, we believe that culture, creativity, and dialogue can inspire the next generation of leaders. We were delighted to provide a space where young people could connect, exchange ideas, and build the confidence to shape a better future.

Strengthening Fair-Trade Auditing Skills in Southern Shan and Kachin
Turquoise Mountain Myanmar recently hosted a Label STEP Social Auditors Training in Inle, bringing together five trainee auditors—two from Kachin State and three from Inle.
Through online training delivered by Label STEP Nepal and practical field audits with weaving communities and suppliers, participants gained hands-on experience in applying the 10 Fair-Trade Standards for artisanal textiles.
This training is helping build local expertise to support fair, ethical, and transparent textile production within artisan communities across Myanmar.
We look forward to continuing our work with artisan communities to support sustainable livelihoods.
