*ကွယ်လွန်သူ လီဂျုံဝုခ်၏ နှစ် ၂၀ ပြည့် အထိမ်းအမှတ်အဖြစ် “သူ၏ ယုံကြည်ချက်နှင့် လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်များကို ရေရှည်အမှတ်ရနေမည်” ဟု သမ္မတ လီ က ပြောကြား*
ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေးအဖွဲ့ (WHO) ၏ ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးချုပ်အဖြစ် တာဝန်ထမ်းဆောင်ခဲ့သူ ကွယ်လွန်သူ ဒေါက်တာ လီဂျုံဝုခ် (Dr. Lee Jong-wook) ကွယ်လွန်ခြင်း နှစ် ၂၀ ပြည့်မြောက်ခါနီးဖြစ်သော (၂၀) ရက်နေ့တွင် သမ္မတ လီဂျေမြောင် (President Lee Jae Myung) က "ဖြစ်နိုင်သမျှ လူအများစုအတွက် ကျန်းမာရေး" ဟူသော ဒေါက်တာ၏ ယုံကြည်ချက်နှင့် လက်တွေ့လုပ်ဆောင်မှုများကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ရေရှည်အမှတ်ရနေမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။၎င်းပြင် သမ္မတ လီက "ဒေါက်တာ ကွယ်လွန်ခြင်း နှစ် ၂၀ ပြည့် အထိမ်းအမှတ်အဖြစ် ၎င်း၏ အောင်မြင်မှုများနှင့် ပေးဆပ်မှုများကို ဂုဏ်ပြုသော အထိမ်းအမှတ် အခမ်းအနားတစ်ခုကို ဂျီနီဗာမြို့တွင် ကျင်းပနေသည့် ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေးညီလာခံအတွင်း ပြုလုပ်နေသည်" ဟု ထိုနေ့၌ပင် X (ယခင် တွစ်တာ) လူမှုကွန်ရက်ပေါ်တွင် ရေးသားခဲ့သည်။ဒေါက်တာ လီနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ မိတ်ဆက်ပြောကြားရာတွင် သမ္မတက "သူသည် နိုင်ငံတကာအဖွဲ့အစည်းတစ်ခုကို ဦးဆောင်ခွင့်ရသည့် ပထမဆုံး ကိုရီးယားလူမျိုးဖြစ်ပြီး ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေး၏ ရှေ့တန်းမျက်နှာစာတွင် မိမိကိုယ်ကို မြှုပ်နှံထားခဲ့သူဖြစ်သည်။ ဝီဝမ် (Uiwang) မြို့ရှိ စိန့်လာဇာရုစ် (St. Lazarus) ကျေးရွာတွင် အစပြု၍ အနာကြီးရောဂါဝေဒနာရှင်များကို စောင့်ရှောက်ခဲ့ပြီးနောက် WHO ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးချုပ်အဖြစ် တာဝန်ထမ်းဆောင်စဉ်အတွင်း ပိုလီယို၊ တီဘီနှင့် အေ့ဒ်စ် (AIDS) အပါအဝင် လူသားမျိုးနွယ်တို့ ရင်ဆိုင်နေရသည့် အသက်အန္တရာယ်စိုးရိမ်ရသော ရောဂါများကို တိုက်ဖျက်ရန် နိုင်ငံတကာအသိုင်းအဝိုင်း၏ တုံ့ပြန်ဆောင်ရွက်မှုများကို ဦးဆောင်ခဲ့သည်" ဟု ဆိုသည်။၎င်းက ဆက်လက်၍ "အထူးသဖြင့် ပိုလီယိုရောဂါ ပပျောက်ရေး ကမ္ဘာလုံးဆိုင်ရာလှုပ်ရှားမှုမှတစ်ဆင့် သူသည် ကာကွယ်ဆေးထောက်ပံ့မှုကို တိုးချဲ့ခြင်းနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုစနစ်များကို အားကောင်းအောင် လုပ်ဆောင်ခြင်းတို့ကို ဦးဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီး ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝန်း ပိုလီယိုဖြစ်ပွားနှုန်းကို သိသိသာသာ လျှော့ချနိုင်ခဲ့သည်။ ယင်းကို လူသားတို့၏ ကျန်းမာရေးသမိုင်းတွင် အလှည့်အပြောင်းအသစ်တစ်ခုကို ဖန်တီးပေးခဲ့ခြင်းအဖြစ် အကဲဖြတ်ကြသည်" ဟု ထည့်သွင်းပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။သမ္မတ လီက "ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် ဒေါက်တာ၏ မွန်မြတ်လှသော စိတ်ဓာတ်ကို ဆက်လက်ထိန်းသိမ်းသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး နိုင်ငံတကာအသိုင်းအဝိုင်းနှင့် စည်းလုံးညီညွတ်မှုကို ပိုမိုခိုင်မာအောင် လုပ်ဆောင်ကာ ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေးကဏ္ဍ တိုးတက်မြင့်မားရေးအတွက် တာဝန်သိစွာဖြင့် ဆက်လက်ပံ့ပိုးကူညီသွားမည်ဖြစ်သည်" ဟု နိဂုံးချုပ် ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။
President Lee Commemorates the 20th Anniversary of the late Lee Jong-wook, stating “His Convictions and Actions will be Long Remembered.”
President Lee Jae Myung stated on the 20th, ahead of the 20th anniversary of the passing of the late Dr. Lee Jong-wook, who served as the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), "We will long remember the doctor's conviction and practice of 'Health for as many people as possible.'"
President Lee wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that day, "To mark the 20th anniversary of his passing, a commemorative ceremony honoring the doctor's achievements and dedication is being held during the World Health Assembly in Geneva."
Introducing Dr. Lee, the President said, "He was the first Korean to lead an international organization and dedicated himself to the front lines of global health. Starting with caring for Hansen's disease patients at the St. Lazarus Village in Uiwang, he led the international community's response against fatal diseases facing humanity, including polio, tuberculosis, and AIDS, while serving as the WHO Director-General."
He further added, "In particular, through the global campaign to eradicate polio, he led the expansion of vaccine supply and the strengthening of international cooperation systems, achieving a dramatic reduction in the global incidence of polio. This is evaluated as having created a new turning point in the history of human health."
President Lee concluded, "The Republic of Korea will continue to uphold the doctor's noble spirit, further strengthen solidarity with the international community, and contribute responsibly to the advancement of global health."
