With the support of Aktion Deutschland Hilft(ADH), World Vision is providing essential school supplies to earthquake-affected schools in Mandalay, including the Mandalay School for the Deaf.

The supplies include exercise books, pencils, pens, rulers, mathematics tools, school bags, umbrellas, and other learning materials to help children continue their education.

Among the students is Phu Phu, a Grade 4 student, who was excited to receive her school supplies. Through sign language, she shared that her favourite item was the exercise books, a simple yet powerful reminder of how much learning means to every child.

World Vision is committed to ensuring that all children have equal access to education and opportunities to thrive, with no one left behind.

Through the Education in Emergencies Response for Myanmar Earthquake (EERME) project, World Vision Myanmar, with support from Education Cannot Wait (ECW) and in close partnership with local partner organizations, is helping children return to safe and inclusive learning environments.

Together, we are establishing temporary learning spaces, improving WASH facilities, providing mental health and psychosocial support, strengthening teacher capacity, and promoting child protection, gender equality, disability inclusion, and disaster preparedness across 13 affected townships.

This collaborative effort reflects the power of partnership, bringing together communities, schools, local organizations, and humanitarian actors to ensure every child, especially girls and children with disabilities, can keep learning and build hope for the future.

In a world that often faces uncertainty and challenges, God's promise remains constant. His love brings hope where there is despair, strength where there is weakness, and light where there is darkness.

Today, let us come together in prayer, trusting in God's faithfulness and His vision for a future filled with hope. May John 3:16 inspire us to reflect God's love through our words, actions, and commitment to the well-being of children and communities across Myanmar.

May we continue to serve with compassion, walk in faith, and share God's love with those around us.

Investing in children today means investing in a brighter future for all.

Over two days, 36 child leaders from across Yangon gathered to build their confidence, strengthen their advocacy skills, and contribute their ideas to discussions that will help inform World Vision Myanmar’s future direction.

The forum provided a meaningful platform for children to share their perspectives, learn from one another, and engage directly with World Vision Myanmar’s Senior Leadership Team and Advisory Council. Their insights, experiences, and recommendations highlighted the importance of ensuring children’s voices are heard and considered in decisions that affect their lives and communities.

By equipping children with knowledge, skills, and opportunities, we are helping nurture the next generation of changemakers who will lead with confidence, compassion, and purpose.

Launching the Church School Curriculum for Junior Level

On 22-23 September 2026, we successfully introduced the Church School Curriculum for Junior Level to more than 70 churches across Yangon.

This milestone marks the culmination of a two-year journey of collaboration between World Vision and the Myanmar Baptist Convention, with curriculum development beginning in September 2024. As part of the ENOUGH Campaign, we look forward to expanding this curriculum to many more churches, equipping children with meaningful learning opportunities rooted in faith and values.

World Vision International Myanmar has reached 3,386 people, including 888 children, affected by flooding with essential relief assistance across two evacuation camps and 13 villages in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyarwady Region.

Flood response efforts continue across affected communities, but many families are still waiting for the support they urgently need.

While life-saving assistance has reached thousands of people, the needs remain immense. Additional resources and support are critical to reach the most vulnerable families who have yet to receive help.

We have distributed vital supplies, including LifeStraw Gravity Bags, P&G water purification sachets, hygiene kits, household kits, jerry cans, ORS packets, Zinc tablets, and water filtration sets, to families impacted by flooding.
