KLIA Terminal 1 has introduced a Green Lane system starting Jan 26 to ease customs congestion for international passengers. The system features two green lanes for travellers with nothing to declare and one red lane for those carrying items to declare. Previously, all passengers queued in a single lane, causing delays of 15–20 minutes at baggage claim. Terminal 1 handles 80,000–90,000 passengers daily, with about 60% being international travellers. Security remains strict, with officers monitoring passengers through risk assessment. The system is on a one-month trial until Feb 26, and operations have been reported as smooth so far.

Eight-year-old girl is finally a Malaysian
